Meet the Teacher Hi! My name is Ms. Rana and I am thrilled to be on the KG 2 team this year. Most importantly, I am thrilled to be your son/daughter’s teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us and to get to know all your children, but first, here is a little about me. I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. I am the youngest in my family, I have one older brother. I later moved back to Cairo, Egypt which is home for me. I finished high school there at AIS Egypt. I then graduated from the American University in Cairo with a BA in Psychology. A couple of years later I obtained my teaching credentials and Master’s from The College of New Jersey. I have been in the world of education for ten years now. This is my 4 th year as a classroom teacher. I have worked at Cairo American College and Hayah International Academy- Cairo. At these schools, I have worked in Pre-K, KG and Grade 1 classrooms. This array of experience helps me understand where KG students are coming from and where exactly they need to go all of which will really help me challenge your son/daughter to reach for the stars. Communication this year will be through our class blog. If you would like to ask me any questions you may e-mail me at: [email protected] or you can call me through the Elementary School Office. I am so excited about starting the school year and
