Your Daily Schedule● This is your daily schedule. Teachers are available for
parents and students each morning from 9:15-9:45 for questions.
● At 9:45 each morning, you will need to log in to Canvas and click on the Zoom button to join our live meeting. You will do this again at 12:00.
● You will be assigned to a small group for Language Arts/Social Studies and Math/Science. You will get individualized invitations for these meetings. You will need to use a timer or clock to be sure to rejoin the Zoom meeting at the correct time.
● When you are not in a live meeting, you will be working independently, either in Canvas or offline.
Office HoursTeachers are available on Tuesday-Friday from 9:15-9:45 on Zoom.

Attendance PolicyStudents have 2 live lessons (synchronous) per day (Tuesday-Friday). They are expected
to be at both. Teachers are taking attendance at each session.
If your child is unable to make it to one or both of their sessions, you can:
Email your child's teacher with the reason or Email [email protected] in the front
office.
Students should complete the online assignments (Asynchronous) daily in order to be
marked present for that day.

Attendance-Truancy
• After 5 unexcused absences, the school principal, counselor, and possibly
school attendance officer will have to hold an initial conference and develop a
documented attendance plan.
• If 1 more unexcused absences occur after the initial conference, the attendance
officer will be notified. Parent will need to attend a meeting with attendance
officer, principal, and school counselor.
• Any additional unexcused absences, the attendance officer will contact families
to discuss attendance plan; legal action will be taken as necessary
COVID-19
•Students who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 should
correspond with school staff about the level of participation students
may have in a virtual/home-based environment.
•Depending on symptoms, student may still be able to participate in
virtual learning.
Return to School
•Parents must complete a daily health checklist (see next slides) VERY
IMPORTANT!
•If a student is sick, please DO NOT send them to school.
•Call the school if student cannot participate in online learning.
•When returning 50/50 student may still be able to attend virtually if
they are well enough to do so. Must be communicated to school.
•Students must be symptom and fever free for 24 hours prior to
returning to school.
Return to Learn Packets
• Please complete all Return to Learn Packets through
Parent Vue
• Important information such as emergency
cards/contacts, updated information, code of conduct
signatures, etc.
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications• Must reapply every year! Criteria has changed and those who may not qualified before, may this year!
Information remains confidential.
• Currently everyone is free, however the USDA waiver for this expires in December. Families will start acquiring debt if they have not applied.
• Many benefits to the school if application is in by Sept. 30th. Title 1 funding is based off from this and the school receives additional funding per child that qualifies. Small class size grant is based off this as well.
• Many benefits to families. Comcast Cares offers $9.99 internet per month, currently offering $99 laptops. Must complete application to qualify.
• Other companies also offer benefits. PWCS offers free/reduced pricing on extracurricular fees, instrument rentals, field trips, etc.

3. Be KIND to others and
be an active listener during
lessons and conversations.
4. Raise your hand and wait
for the teacher to call on you
and unmute your
microphone.
5. Stay seated in front of
your computer and try
not to wiggle too much.
Parent Expectation for Live InstructionFamilies should be aware of background
noise and conversations. TV's, music,
people talking, and other noises are very
distracting for the whole class.
Please be aware of where your child's
video is facing (near bathroom doors,
bedrooms or where people might be
changing).

Students are

This assignment is a report
card grade (worth more than
0 points).

• Read the directions
• Talk about the assignment
• Assist with technology
• Ask questions during the video
Parents SHOULD NOT
• Draw or write for the child
• Tell the child what to say
• Complete the assignment for them
*We want to see what they can do on their own.

● Tell the teacher if you do not know.
● Sit still without moving around (find somewhere
comfortable)
● Find somewhere quiet
● Answer the questions on your own! You cannot ask for
help. You CAN do it!
Parent Expectation for Assessments
• Tell the child to:
• "Do your best"
• "Look/ Listen to the teacher"
• Assist with technology
• Repeat the question or the
directions
• Give any hint or try to help answer
the question
