Our Class Policy• Students must come on time. Students will sign the attendance

book at the start of class and, after fifteen (15) minutes, the lecturer will call the roll. Students not answering the call are considered absent.

• Students must come in proper clothing and are not allowed to wear sandals.

• Students must switch off their hand phones during class. • Students must attend every class session. If a student cannot

attend a class for any reason he/she will be marked “absent”. Attendance is counted starting from the first day of the class

Leadership Project

• 1. The students join in a work team with 4 or 5 members

• 2. The work team write a project proposal• 3. The work team accomplishes the

project• 4. The work team presents the project in

front of the class• 5. The work team reports the learning

outcomes in a final paper

Which Project?• There are various possibility to experience leadership in

a concrete activity, for example:• Join the programmed activity of the Center of Service

Learning (suggested) • Social charity in the orphanage/elderly house • To held a leadership-seminar/workshop in a factory• To join in the eco/green-movement• To organize a film production for the class/university• To perform a public speech for particular problem• To organize a photography exhibition in the class or

outside• To organize a leadership training for a school

organization• To campaign an ecological theme in the campus • To organize a flea market• To produce a class newspaper• [Please, find your own alternative!]

Evaluation System• 1. 10% (team’s project-proposal evaluated by the

lecturer)• 2. 20% (team’s presentation evaluated by the class)• 3. 10% (team’s self-evaluation)• 3. Mid-semester Exam : 20% (written

test evaluated by the lecturer)• 5. Final Paper : 40% (final

paper evaluated by the lecturer)• • TOTAL 100%

Content of the project proposal1. Team Name and its meaning (What is the meaning of your team? Why?)2. Membership and organization (Mention your team members and job

descriptions)3. Short Description of the Project (Please, tell what activity you’ll do with your

team and the location/agency/community you will serve)4. Desired Transformations of the served persons/community (Which outcomes

do you will have after this project?)5. Desired Self-Transformation (Which change of your personality will you

experience through this leadership activity) 6. Vision statement of the team (Please, formulate the vision of your team in

maximum three short statements)7. Concrete Action Plan (Describe the steps to realize your vision and goal)8. Budgeting (How much do you prepare for your activity? And how do you get

it)9. One contact person of the team (Mention the name and the cell phone

number of the team leader) 10 Lecturer Signature for agreement (empty space for the lecturer)

Content of Team’s Final PaperThe final paper consist of 10-20 A4-pages, must be typed 1,5 space, 12 point and in arial form. Nine

elements must be elaborated in the paper:• Cover Page: Formulation on Paper Theme (type of team project), organizational structure of the

team, name of the team, the lecturer name, Name of University, the lecture semester, the date of the report (1 page)

• Introduction: the background of the ‘team-project’ and the outline of the report paper (1 page)• The vision and mission of the team: Formulation of the vision and the mission of the work team

(1 page)• Team Procedure: The work steps of the team, problems, successes and leaning process

through trials and errors to realize the team vision and mission (2 pages).• Project Results: Report on the whole process of the team project. It must be distinguished

between (a) the results which is useful for the other people and (b) the result which is useful for the team itself (5 pages).

• Testimonies: the narration on members’ experiences in value-learning (4 page).• The Leadership View : Short elaboration on the ‘leadership principles’ and ‘leadership values’

that can be formulated from the experiences in the team work. The disagreements among the team members and their different positions must be reported in the paper (4 pages).

• Attachments: the proof of the team activities like bills, proposals, photos, film, book cover, etc. must be shown

• Self Evaluation of the team: Write down here the procedure of self valuation and the end results for each member.

Evaluation of Team’s Presentation

The end score is the average. The majority of the score. E.g. if the score 70 is the majority, the team gets 70.
