About this guide: This guide was produced to be used as a quick reference for those who are looking for a suitable meeting venue in Preston. The guide is divided into six sections providing details of venues managed by Voluntary and Community Groups, Church/Faith Halls and Community Centres, Public bodies and Private sector venues. We have also listed names and contact details only for Tenants Groups/Community Houses and other Faith Venues. We have tried our best to list as many venues as possible but we are aware there may be omissions. If you wish to be included in future editions of this publication please contact Preston Council for Voluntary Service (Preston CVS) on telephone 01772 251108 or email [email protected]. You can also complete the amendment and new entry form which can be found at the back of this guide on page 8.1. On page 1.2 we take the liberty of promoting our own meeting venue in the Guild Hall Arcade. Detail of cost, times, capacity and facilities available on page 2.11. It is proposed that this guide will be updated annually. In the meantime I would be pleased to receive any comments or constructive criticism about this edition so that we can improve the quality of the guide. PRESTON COUNCIL FOR VOLUNTARY SERVICE Since February 2008 Preston Council for Voluntary Service has been sited in the Guild Hall Arcade. These premises provide us with an open plan office facility for staff and volunteers, together with a conference suite which can accommodate up to 50 people depending on the room configuration.
