a high gloss two-component linear polyester-polyurethane topcoat.

With outstanding abrasion resistance, excellent gloss and

colour retention and very good flexibility, Megagloss HG

is specially formulated for top-class yachts and is the

perfect choice for the yacht owner seeking the perfect

finish.

Megagloss HG combines extremely high gloss levels –

typically about 94% in practice – with extremely high

resistance to UV light. It has excellent resistance to

abrasion, salt spray and water and is suitable for use on

steel, aluminium or GRP yachts.

With the Jotun MultiColor Industry tinting system, colour

options are almost unlimited enabling you to customize

your yacht’s appearance to your exact preference.

Megayacht Professional Antifouling

MEGAYACHT IMPERIAL ANTIFOULING

Megayacht Imperial antifouling is specially formulated for

megayachts which typically have relatively low voyage factors

compared with commercial vessels. This ensures effective

protection where a yacht is stationary or docked for long periods.

Megayacht Imperial has been tested and proven in the

Caribbean, Arabian Gulf and South East Asia – three of the

world’s most fouling-prone waters.

Megayacht Imperial uses hydrolysis as its polishing mechanism.

To date, other manufacturers have only been able to harness

hydration as the polishing mechanism in their TBT-free

antifoulings – with less than satisfactory results.

The choice of hydrolysis has proven to be enormously

successful in Jotun antifoulings for commercial

vessels in providing more than 36 months of

fouling free service, reduced fuel

consumption and increased

speed.

Dependent upon the chosen colour and the vessel’s sailing

pattern, Megayacht Imperial will also provide protection for up

to three years between haul-outs.

Unlike most other TBT-free antifoulings, it is truly both

selfpolishing and selfsmoothing.

Any surface peaks present after application

are quickly polished away. The whole

paint film then progressively,

predictably and under

control, smooths away

throughout its life, preventing fouling at a consistent rate

from start to finish. Roughness of the hull reduces and there is

outstanding protection against algae and slime.

Aluminium friendly – thanks to its special formulation of

biocides combined with an advanced binder, Megayacht

Imperial Antifouling is compatible with aluminium substrates

and can therefore be used on aluminium superyachts without risk

of galvanic corrosion.

Megayacht Imperial antifouling is suitable for new boats,

upgrades and maintenance and is approved for use on aluminium

yachts.

MEGAYACHT ROYAL ANTIFOULING

Selfpolishing antifoulingA selfpolishing antifouling based on a copolymer binder. It

provides performance equivalent to the best selfpolishing

hydration type antifoulings. Megayacht Royal Antifouling is

available in colours.

Megafiller is a solvent-free, ultra-

lightweight product (specific gravity: 0.57 g/

cc) with fantastic sanding properties (Shore

D hardness: 50) and class-leading rate of

shrinkage during cure (0.2%).

Megafiller is a genuinely high-build product

that will not sag when applied on a vertical

surface at thicknesses of up to 3cm.

Adhesion and cohesion properties are

excellent. Megafiller’s flexibility is above

average for an epoxy filler.

Megafiller’s dry time for sanding is short –

less than many ‘winter grade’ products by

other manufacturers.

Megafiller may be used above and below

the waterline when part of an approved

coating system.

MEGAFILLER HOT CLIMATEUltra lightweight

fairing compoundMegafiller Hot Climate is an ultra-

lightweight epoxy fairing compound with

three times the pot life working time of

Megafiller.

Suitable for above and below water

applications in hot temperatures,

especially above 25ºC.

MEGAFILLER SMOOTHHigh density finishing filler

Megafiller Smooth is a fast and effective

means of providing the perfect surface

for subsequent epoxy sealers, undercoats

and topcoats. It is solvent-free, quick

drying (12 hrs at 21ºC), easy to mix and

smooth to apply. Megafiller Smooth leaves

a tough and flexible, yet fully sandable

film. Mixing ratio is 1 part base to 1 part

hardener (by volume).

MEGAFILLER MULTITough. Smooth. Sandable

Megafiller Multi is a solvent-free,

lightweight (specific gravity: 0.88 g/cc)

more resinous fairing compound with

superb application properties, very good

sanding properties (Shore D hardness: 65)

and class-leading water resistance.

Megafiller Multi is a genuinely high-build

product that will not sag when applied on a

vertical surface at thicknesses of up to 3cm.

Adhesion and cohesion properties are

excellent – Megafiller Multi’s tensile

strength property is outstanding. Its dry

time for sanding is short, yet Megafiller

Multi has a long working time that permits

smoother, more precise applications than

other highbuild fairing compounds.

Megafiller Multi may be used above

and below the waterline when part of an

approved coating system.

MEGAFILLER DECKSolvent free

Ultra lightweightMegafiller Deck is a solvent-free ultra-

lightweight epoxy fairing filler (specific

gravity: 0.57 g/cc) that can be applied at

a very high thickness. It has minimal

shrinkage (0.2%) and a very strong

adhesion, being more flexible than other

epoxy fillers. It is a friendly product to use

due to its excellent sandability.

MEGACOTEFast curing

Multi-purpose Abrasion resistant

Megacote is a fast curing, abrasion resistant,

high solids, two component, epoxy

anticorrosive coating.

Megacote is a multi-purpose epoxy primer

for use on all areas – internal, external,

above and below water. It binds well

to correctly prepared steel, aluminium,

galvanised steel, GRP, gelcoat and wood.

It is also suitable for osmosis prevention

on GRP when used as part of an approved

Jotun system.

Megacote is part of a coating system for

yacht interiors that has been tested and

approved for surface flammability and

smoke toxicity according to IMO, MCA

and USCG requirements.

Megacote is also Germanischer Lloyd-

certified for corrosion control on water-

immersed areas of ships and is approved

against PSCPC/IACS requirements.

MEGASPEED UNDERCOAT

For high gloss polyurethane systems

Megaspeed Undercoat is a two component

semi-gloss polyurethane undercoat that

gives an ideal surface for topcoating. It is

very quick drying and has excellent

sanding properties. Megaspeed Undercoat

is ideal in high-gloss polyurethane systems

where an extremely smooth and pinhole-

free surface is required prior to topcoating.

MEGAMASTICWhere blasting

may not be possibleMegamastic is an abrasion resistant,

surface tolerant, high build, two

component epoxy mastic coating. It is

suitable as a primer or sealer on steel

where blast-cleaning may not be possible.

MEGAPRIMERMulti-purpose

Sandable Excellent adhesion

Megaprimer is a two component, sandable

epoxy primer/sealer. It is for use as a

barrier between epoxy fairing compounds/

fillers and polyurethane topcoats.

Megaprimer also has excellent adhesion to

a variety of correctly prepared substrates –

steel, aluminium, wood, GRP and gelcoat.

Megaprimer is suitable for osmosis

prevention on GRP hulls when part of an

approved Jotun system.

MEGASEALERTough. High build primer/undercoat

Megasealer is a two component, high build,

corrosion preventing, epoxy-vinyl primer/

tiecoat. It is compliant with IMO

Antifouling System Convention AFS/

CONF/26.

Megasealer is recommended as a tiecoat/

sealer between an epoxy coating and

antifouling.

It bonds strongly to fresh, uncured epoxy

coatings or abraded/roughened fully cured

epoxy coatings.

Megasealer provides excellent adhesion of

antifoulings due to its resoluble vinyl

binder.

Its epoxy binder gives Megasealer a tough

anticorrosive property.

It can be used as a sealer coat on existing

antifouling as well.
