over 140 countries on innovative projects of the highest quality and impact.
Our experienced staff combine technical excellence and an understanding of local clients and markets with genuine enthusiasm for design and innovation. As

multidisciplinary service offering to form the best possible project teams to meet
their business needs.
As one of Australia’s fastest growing regions, the development of Melbourne’s West is driving both social and economic benefits for the state. Arup’s
experience in creating cities for the future, bringing people together, shaping place and community for precincts, makes us uniquely positioned to not only
help the West grow bigger, but also better. Arup is genuinely engaged with local community as well as public and private stakeholders to ensure the interests of
residents are at the core of the built environment and placemaking activities.
Committed to sustainability, we are acutely aware of the responsibility we have in designing and positively influencing the built environment and strive to do the
best possible work for current and future generations.
Together, we shape a better world.
Event major sponsor Wyndham City Council
Located between Melbourne and Geelong, Wyndham is experiencing rapid growth and transformation. Wyndham is currently home to 283,294 people and
the population is expected to reach 400,000 plus or the size of Canberra by 2036. A diverse City, both geographically and demographically, almost half of
Wyndham residents are born overseas from 162 different countries. Rich and diverse in Aboriginal history Wyndham has the largest Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander population in Greater Melbourne.
This growth means that there are significant challenges our organisation must meet. That’s why we’re committed to leading the way in our sector and we’re
doing this by being aspirational in our planning and inventive in our delivery. Our focus is on delivering a liveable city with a globally connected and opportunity
rich economy. Our commercial approach and willingness to facilitate innovative
funding models will help drive this.
We’re delivering City-shaping projects like our partnership with the Western
Melbourne Group to deliver the A-League soccer stadium precinct. We are taking a place-making approach ensuring our key activity centres are
transformed into creative precincts. We are rejuvenating the Werribee City Centre, partnering with private consortia to deliver major developments and have
transformed Wyndham Park into a recreation and events space of regional
significance.
Our commitment to making Wyndham a cleaner and greener place for future
generations – we were one of the first councils in Victoria to install solar
compacting garbage and recycling bins across the City.
Our leadership and agility saw us well placed to respond to the COVID-19
pandemic at pace and deliver innovative solutions throughout the crisis and on the path to recovery. We delivered a range of services and programs via the
dedicated Wyndham Together website, and our $5million WYNlocal package helped local businesses adapt while our buy local campaigns saw an uplift in
residents shopping locally.

about CEDA CEDA – the Committee for Economic Development of Australia – is an independent, membership-based think tank. We deliver on our purpose by: •Undertaking research to understand the most important issues Australia faces. •Creating platforms to inform, stimulate ideas and promote debate of critical issues. •Facilitating collaboration to inspire innovative and progressive policy solutions. •Influencing decision makers by delivering compelling evidence and recommendations and advocating in support of our positions.
Membership
CEDA has almost 700 members including leading Australian businesses, community organisations, government departments and academic institutions. Our cross-sector membership spans every state and territory. Organisations join CEDA because CEDA delivers exposure to high level thought leadership, timely briefings on issues of economic importance, access to networking and brand reach through sponsorship and hosting opportunities. In addition to high profile public events, CEDA also delivers regular member only events for employees of member organisations and exclusive Trustee only boardroom briefings for senior executives from member organisations. These provide a unique opportunity for peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and for speakers and attendees to talk candidly on issues.
Research and policy
Our purpose is to identify policy issues that matter for Australia’s future and pursue solutions that deliver better economic and social outcomes for the greater good. Since 1960 CEDA has produced more than 3000 publications, research reports and articles highlighting emerging issues and directions in a diverse range of policy areas. Our research program is currently focused on public interest technology, migration policy, business competitiveness and dynamism, human services including disrupting disadvantage and housing and trends in future economic development.
