Assignment
The success of event management relies on teamwork, effective planning, research and a good dealof creative thinking. You will also be assessed on your abilities to communicate your ideas effectively,so good presentation skills are also important.You will be set two main tasks set during the term, which will contribute to your event managementportfolio:
Work in groups to plan and organise a 30- date UK tour for a newly signed pop artist. Students mustwork in a managerial capacity to:
• Arrange transport and accommodation• Liaise with booking agent to create route/ venue schedule• Present a catering rider• Present a tech rider complete with stage plan• Create a spreadsheet of expenses including per diems and all crew fees• Identify ways to make profit
Evidence:Business Scenario- Students must create a verbal presentation and documents on the above to besubmitted as a tour support request to tutor acting as record company.
Evaluation-Students must evaluate their groups’ performance in this task identifying areas for improvement.
