Office Depot Update
Office Depot is a great benefit offered to USPS members that
can be used on many products. It has proven to be our most
popular and yet many members have not heard about it!
Office Depot has also donated a few gift cards that are raffled
and given away as door prizes at our national meetings.
Below are the highlights and news worthy items.
- The biggest savings is though printing (not self-serve).
- They offer discounts on many other items, but not the
same item all the time; and not everything is discounted.
- In order to take advantage of the deal, a squadron or district can order a pack of cards from headquarters to
distribute to squadron members or hand out at district conferences. The general public should not be given a card.
A card can also be printed directly from the Member Benefits - Office Depot web site.
- Keep this card in your wallet at all times and use on every purchase, whether planning on paying for it yourself
or if asking for reimbursement. It will save you or your squadron money!
- Use the card on all Office Depot purchases online or in the store regardless if discounted that week or not. USPS
will get a small percentage back for that purchase.
- Every week or two, the discounted items list changes. The list can be found on the Member Benefits - Office Depot
website.
- You must present the Office Depot discount card at time of purchase.
- Your USPS membership card will not work at any store or online for purchases. The associates have no idea who
USPS is and won't be able to help you, if you don't have the Office Depot card.
- Office Depot and Office Max merged. At this time, Office Max will not accept the Office Depot discount card as the
computer systems have not been merged. If Office Depot is not convenient, try purchasing online at the USPS
Member Benefit - Office Depot website. It will be delivered the next day.
- Purchases made do not need to be for USPS business only. The discount card can be used for personal or business
use as well as other organizations, but by a USPS member.
- Discount is given at time of purchase.

Sea Tow and USPS signed
a Memorandum of Un-
derstanding at the annual
meeting 2014.
Sea Tow has provided
discounted information cards included for any boating
course student. You can order free cards from USPS
headquarters by using the order number below, and
you can find more details about their offering on the
Member Benefits web site.
Here is a general explanation of the Sea Tow and USPS
partnership:
All three organizations, Sea Tow, Sea Tow Foundation
and the USPS, will work closely together to provide
boating safety resources and education to the public,
while USPS members and boaters who take a USPS
Boating Safety Course will benefit from valuable new
discounts on Sea Tow memberships, enhancing their
peace of mind of the water.
• All USPS members will receive a promotional code for
a $10 discount off their Sea Tow Membership, whether
they are purchasing a new membership or renewing
their membership. This brings the cost of a Sea Tow
Gold Card Membership down to $159 per year for
USPS members, while offering them the same valuable
services and benefits enjoyed by all other Sea Tow
members.- When joining or renewing
(www.seatow.com or 1-800-4 SEATOW (800-473-2869)
use the code PSQ.
• All boaters who complete a USPS Boaters Safety
Course will receive a coupon code (or can order the
Trial Membership Cards from the headquarters to
distribute at courses) for a free 60-day Sea Tow Trial
Membership (use the code PSC), after which they will
have the option to upgrade to a full membership –
technically getting 14 months for the price of 12 (use
the code PSE)!

The USPS order number for more boating course dis-
count cards is 07-39-051.
In addition to the great membership benefits above,
Sea Tow also offers the Automated Radio Check Service
(ARC)
It’s simple to use:
1. Automated Radio Check Service uses one of VHF
channels 24, 26, 27, 28. Simply tune your radio to the
proper channel for your community.
2. Conduct a radio check as you normally would.
3. Upon releasing the mic, the system will replay your
transmission, letting you hear how you sound.

about using Member Benefits.
“My introduction to Rigid Boat products was their web
site. Then I was surprised to see that they provided a
member discount for squadron members. The owner was
very honest and allowed the discount to be applied to the
boat and all options added (exclude motor and shipping).
His advice on the options was great. We use the 10 ft
plus sports model as a dingy for our trawler”.

Wireless Phone Service Update
We were fortunate to have offered our members a
discount on the T-Mobile service for over a year.
In the spring they notified us that they will no longer
be continuing the discount as they started offering
the transfer fee deal to the general public. Their prices
were already very low and they decided to cancel the
program. More and more members have received
notice directly over the last few months. At this time,
we do not have a discount on any wireless phone
service or phones. We thank T-Mobile for giving our
members the discount for as long as they did. We will
continue to look for discounts in this area.
Congratulations to our Raffle Winners!

meeting or when giving a report.
