Details are shown on our web site. If you are applying to join the club for the first time, the membership fee will be in proportion to the remaining months in the membership year. Membership includes affiliation with Tennis Tasmania and Tennis Australia including insurance.

Come along and join!Legana Tennis Club is the friendly tennis club, offering regular socialnights and competitions for players of all standards — frombeginners to the more advanced.
Situated off Fulton Street, Legana (see map), our club has:
Two outdoor clay courts and one outdoor plexi-pave court;
High quality lighting for night games on all courts;
A clubhouse with male and female toilets and changing facilities, and kitchen and barbeque facilities;
A hitting wall and a ball machine for practice;
An active, responsible committee and a fantastic group of members.
The club is located next to the Legana Recreation Area. This area provides a playground and ample off-street parking.

Social tennis
If you’re thinking of getting into tennis, come along and join in the fun at our social meetings.
Tuesday nights (from 7.00 p.m.): ‘Big Bash’ social games for players of intermediate standard (and higher). This is run on a ‘just turn up’ basis, with no prior commitment to playing required.
Thursday night club pennant: friendly competitive tennis between teams of our club's members. We're always looking for new players (adults and juniors) to play in this fun competition.
We also have other social gatherings like Trivia nights and dinners!
Organised night-time social sessions will cost members extra to cover the cost of lights and balls.
Competitive tennis
If you’re interested in playing competitively, we’re always looking for team members! We have teams in the Monday Night Open (inter-club) Pennant competition and Midweek Ladies (inter-club) Pennant competition.
There’s also the annual hotly contested Club Championships (around April) for junior and adult singles and doubles; the Veterans Championships; intra-club competitions; and participation in Tennis Tasmania competitions.
About membership Members are welcome to use the courts at any time (except when all courts are in use for an organised club activity such as Tuesday night social tennis). A key to access the courts is available on payment of a refundable $20 deposit. The key should be returned when the holder is no longer a member. A club newsletter provides members with information on upcoming events at the club.
All members are required to respect others and the club facilities. All members are required to act in accordance with our Member Protection Policy and other policies. These policies are available on our website at www.tennis.com.au/leganatc
Guest playersGuest players are welcome at social tennis events and can also play with a full member with access to the club. However, guest players can only play 4 times before they need to join the club. On each visit, the guest player must record their name in our player register located in the clubhouse. (This is to manage our insurance obligations.)
How to joinLegana Tennis Club, simply complete the application form and either:
Post it with a cheque to the Secretary at our postal address; or
Email details to the address below with payment advice.
The membership is for the club year, commencing on 1 September and ending on 31 August of the following year. If you are applying to join the club for the first time, the membership fee will be in proportion to the remaining months in the membership year. Contact the Secretary for more information.
