Congratulations & thank youNestled amongst the mature trees in the grounds of Oruawharo Homestead, Vincent’s is the perfect venue for your special day.
Vincent’s is the historic St Vincent’s Church, which was relocated to Oruawharo in 2012 from the nearby township of Takapau.The church was donated by the Johnston family, who owned the Oruawharo homestead and surrounding farmland.
In 2012, due to dwindling congregation numbers, the church was donated to the present owners of Oruawharo, where it has become home to the weddings and functions that are hosted at Oruawharo.
The church building has been respectfully renovated to enable us to meet the needs of modern functions, whilst retaining all its original charm and ambience.
Our chef will prepare your wedding feast in a state of the art commercial kitchen, and our friendly bar staff will serve you and your guests beverages from our fully licensed bar.
Vincent’s is fully accessible to people with disabilities, and is anon-smoking venue.
Smoking is permitted in thecourtyard andgrounds.
We have a broad selection of music to accompany your ceremony and for the after dinner dance, or alternatively there is plenty of room within the church building to accommodate a live band.
One of the owners of the Oruawharo Homestead, Peter, is a Justice of the Peace and a registered marriage celebrant. He can help you plan a personal ceremony and conduct the formal proceedings. Alternatively you are welcome to engage a celebrant of your own choosing.

At Vincent’s we host weddings that you and your guests will continue to remember for years to come. We want your wedding day to be easily arranged, and a fun celebration for everyone.The following is included as part of the venue, service and facililties charge.Exclusive use of Vincent’s and garden area for your wedding.Hosts Dianne & Peter will be available throughout the day to assist.Professional friendly staff serving food and drinks.Use of Vincent’s background music and use of sound system for your music selection.Wireless microphones are also available.
Tables, chairs, cake knife and table.Linen tablecloths and napkins, crockery, cutlery and glassware.You can add your own touches to decorate the tables.Outdoor wedding ceremony set-up, chairs, signing table and audio.We like to make it easy for you to choose Vincent’s for your wedding, so our pricing is easy to follow.The venue, service and facililties charge is $20 per person including children.The venue is available from 10am on the day of your wedding.Subject to other use, we will make the venue
available for the purposes of rehersal and decoration the day before from 2pm to 6pm,or subject to arrangement.BYO is not available.Optional white chair covers $10 each.All prices are inclusive of GST.Note that all guests who are not staying at the Homestead must vacate the property by 12:30am.

If you are staying at Oruawharo for your wedding night, we can provide you and any guests who may be joining you with brunch on the morning following your wedding. Many couples enjoy taking this time to relax with their bridal party, family, and friends. Some choose to open their wedding gifts at this time. Vincent’s is fully licensed and has a large selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available.We do not cater for BYO alcohol.Details of our beverage selection are available Drinks Menu. Our chef and professional staff provide a selection of high quality menu options which can be tailored to your taste and budget.Our Menus may be subject to seasonal changes and your input into the final menu is welcomed and encouraged.
