This symposium is designed to provide a platform for discussion of relevant and emerging issues in palliative care, including pharmacological management, special populations, research, and complex case discussions. Presentations will include panel discussions, case studies, and lectures by

leading professionals in the field.

This course will include both primary and specialty palliative care content, appropriate for any RNs, APPs, Social Workers, Chaplains, and/or MDs interested in incorporating palliative care into their practice. The majority of this content will be applicable to any practice setting and not limited to care in the oncology population.

Call for Abstracts

Participants are invited to submit an abstract for presentation at the course. Abstracts for the poster session will be selected on the basis of scientific merit and content quality. Abstract submission deadline: May 1, 2019.

Networking Reception

Participants are invited to join the course faculty for a networking reception after the course adjourns from 4:30-5:30 pm at Zuckerman Research Center.

The goal of this symposium is to inform best practices, provide professional empowerment and inspiration, and to further the APP role within and beyond the palliative care specialty.
