Nov. 17. 2012 Holiday Craft Show. Over 30 vendors will be on site displaying and selling their locally made gifts, decor, and foods. A reader dressed in a Victorian nightshirt and cap will read Clement Clarke Moore’s classic poem, “The Night Before Christmas,” as passengers enjoy cookies and milk and the train rolls along. The Episcopal Church Women present this annual fundraiser, which features a variety of delicious homemade goodies, including fudge, chocolate-covered pretzels, peanut brittle, assorted cook-ies, and gift trays. Dec. 2. Marietta’s 47th Annual Candlelight Tour of Homes. The town is celebrating its 200th anniversary. Guests may tour 10 gracious, historic homes that are beau-tifully appointed with holiday decor. There will be a Dickens-style marketplace, an antique show, and artisans and craftsmen selling wares.
