MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR The City of Sheboygan is working with several community groups that have Christmas projects for the benefit of the community. The Christmas trees at the fountain at Mead Public Library have been decorated for the Christmas season by the city with assistance from the Sheboygan Squared Business District and Brilliant Lightscapes. The lights on the evergreen trees surrounding the fountain have been connected to a computer system that will make them dance to the holiday music. Music will be heard on a speaker system and a low power FM signal at 87.7, that can be picked up on your car radio as you drive by on 8th Street. At Evergreen Park the City is working with the area Rotary clubs as they stage the annual “Making Spirits Bright” lights display. This year many of the past favorite displays will return along with new more spectacular presentations. Evergreen Park is located on Highway 42 North, driving into the park will only be allowed from the north, turning right into the park entrance. Admission is free of charge, donations of cash and non-perishable food items for the Sheboygan County Food Bank are encouraged. The collection goal this year is 85,000 lbs. which is a 12% increase from 2016. The light display in Evergreen Park is open evenings from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. from the Friday after Thanksgiving through December 31, 2017 (except Dec. 24). The Jaycee Park Quarryview Center is open evenings from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays from the Friday after Thanksgiving until December 23, 2017. Shoreline Metro will also run a Jingle Bus tour to Evergreen Park every Tuesday and Thursday evening leaving the Transfer Station across from City Hall at 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. on December 5, 7, 12, 14, 19 & 21. The bus route will include stops at Mead Public Library for the tree display and Evergreen Park for “Making Spirits Bright”. The fare for the Jingle Bus is one non-perishable food item per person.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

The City of Sheboygan is working with several community

groups that have Christmas projects for the benefit of the

community.

The Christmas trees at the fountain at Mead Public Library

have been decorated for the Christmas season by the city

with assistance from the Sheboygan Squared Business

District and Brilliant Lightscapes. The lights on the evergreen trees surrounding the fountain have been

connected to a computer system that will make them dance to the holiday music. Music will be heard on

a speaker system and a low power FM signal at 87.7, that can be picked up on your car radio as you

drive by on 8th Street.

At Evergreen Park the City is working with the area Rotary clubs as they stage the annual “Making Spirits

Bright” lights display. This year many of the past favorite displays will return along with new more

spectacular presentations. Evergreen Park is located on Highway 42 North, driving into the park will only

be allowed from the north, turning right into the park entrance. Admission is free of charge, donations

of cash and non-perishable food items for the Sheboygan County Food Bank are encouraged. The

collection goal this year is 85,000 lbs. which is a 12% increase from 2016.

The light display in Evergreen Park is open evenings from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. from the Friday after

Thanksgiving through December 31, 2017 (except Dec. 24). The Jaycee Park Quarryview Center is open

evenings from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays from the Friday after Thanksgiving until

December 23, 2017.

leaving the Transfer Station across from City Hall at 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. on December 5, 7, 12, 14, 19 &

“Making Spirits Bright”. The fare for the Jingle Bus is one non-perishable food item per person.
