About Us... Graphic Design

Metal Photo Service, Inc. was established in 1954 as a prepress house to the printing industry. Over the years, it has evolved into a full-service printing company and document solution provider, while retaining its niche in metal imaging.

Our forte is creating your concept on metal. We utilize a photographic process and etch your image into the anodic layer of photosensitive aluminum. Metal Photo plates are attractive, durable, weather resistant, and can be delivered in days. Metal Photo plates will meet all of your needs.

MPS is conveniently located on Wall Avenue, right off of Route 48. It is located in Wall, Pennsylvania, a small community 15 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

Our in-house graphic design team can creatively assist you with aproject from start to finish, or can partner with your graphic designerto ensure great document production. MPS utilizes leading graphicdesign software including Adobe InDesign, QuarkXpress, Adobe Pagemaker, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CorelDRAW. We have a large-scale scanner with a 12” x 17” scanning bed.

Metal Photo Service (MPS) specializes in creating lasting images on metal plates that are attractive, weather resistant, fade-proof and durable. Bring us your ideas or we can custom create your metal image using text, logos, signatures and photographs. Just about anything that can be printed on paper, we can produce on metal.

Metal photo is an anodized aluminum available in gold, copper or silver and can be mounted on a variety of surfaces. The range of metal thickness is from .012” to .125” and can be drilled, punched, rounded and sheared at our facility. Plates can be fabricated to accommodate any type of placement. The image is sealed in the anodic layer of the aluminum plate and will resist UV rays, most chemicals and solvents.

Laser Marking & Engraving

Let your imagination flourish with our state-of-the-art engraving system. Unlike traditional text-only systems, our engraver is powered by graphic design software enabling MPS to engrave anysolid logo or design, including color fill and reverse engraving. For your convenience, we have the ability to laser engrave material up to 38” x 20”. We are able to engrave numerous materials, including plastic, aluminum, stainless and carbon steel, acrylic, marble and wood. To accommodate your company’s corporate standards, plastic is available in various color combinations.
