• The VSI Series AWWA C500 Metal Seated Gate Valve is designed for todays modern water and wastewater treatment plants. Our valves meet or exceed the current AWWA C500-2009 standard. VSI has both Nonrising Stem (NRS) and Outside Screw & Yoke (OS&Y) options available.

• The Series AWWA C500 Metal Seated Gate Valve line has completed the AWWA Proof of Design tests, and every valve is tested at the factory. Leakage testing from both directions is standard.

• The VSI stem seals with 3 o-rings, 2 above the thrust bearing and 1 below. We also have additional o-ring seal between the cover plate and the bonnet. This provides superior sealing and lower abrasion compaired to conventional packing designs.

• The wedge and inside area of the body are precicely machined for the seats to be screwed in place. This prevents any leakage from behind the seats themselves.

• All VSI AWWA C500 Gate Valves have a recessed sealing surface. This allows for full seat to seat contact by having some of the wedge entend past the seating rings.
