NOTICE TO THE EQUITY SHARE HOLDERS Sub : Transfer of Unclalmed Dividend and the corresponding Equity Shares to the Investor Education and Protection Fund
This Notice is published pursuant to the provisions of the Investor Education and
Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Rules, 2016
Notified by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs as amended from time to time (‘the Rules’).
The Companies Act, 2013 and the Rules, inter alia, contain provisions for transfer of all
shares in respect of which dividend has not been paid or claimed for seven consecutive
years in the name of Investor Education and Protection Fund (‘IEPF’).
Adhering to the requirement set out to the rules the unclaimed dividend for the financial
year ended 31st March, 2013 and the corresponding Equity Shares of the Company in
respect of which dividend entitlements have remained unclaimed for seven consecutive
years from the financial year ended 31st March, 2013 will be due for transfer to the
Investor Education and Protection Fund of the Central Government (IEPF) on 16th
September, 2020, pursuant to the provisions of Section 124 of the Companies Act,
2013 read with the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting,
Audit, Transfer and Refund) Rules, 2016.
Individual letters in this regard have already been sent to the concerned Members at
the address registered with the Company on 18th June & 27th July, 2020. The
Members may lodge a valid claim with the Company by 31st August, 2020 in respect of
their unclaimed dividend. In the event such valid claim is not received within that date,
the Company, in accordance with the aforesaid provisions of law, shall transfer such
dividend and shares to the IEPF. The names of the concerned Members and their folio
numbers or DP ID and Client ID numbers are available on the Company's website
www.emamipaper.in.
Kindly note that all future benefit, dividend arising on such shares would also be
credited to IEPF. Shareholders may also note that both the unclaimed dividend and the
shares transferred to the IEPF including all benefits accruing on such shares, if any,
can be claimed back by them from IEPF Authority after following the procedure
prescribed in the Rules.
Please note that the due date for claiming dividend for Financial Year 2012-13 is 16th
September, 2020. All concerned Shareholder(s) are requested to make an application
to the Company/the Company's Registrar and Transfer Agents preferably by 9th
September, 2020 with a request for claiming uncashed or unclaimed dividend for the
year 2012-2013 and onwards to enable processing of claims before the due date.
