Build your curriculumThe MFin experience is delivered in both a 12-month and 18-month format. The same degree requirements would be completed over three or four semesters. The 18-month pilot gives students the opportunity to complete an internship during their second summer. See more about the 18-month pilot at mitsloan.mit.edu/mfin/program-components/pilot/

Solid foundationIt all starts with a seven-week summer term that dives deep into theoretical finance and corporate accounting fundamentals. From there, you’ll work closely with an advisor to select graduate-level, finance-related electives, as well as courses from other departments at MIT. Or you may decide to gain specialized experience by pursuing an optional MFin concentration by taking an additional 3 electives in one of these areas:

• Capital Markets • Corporate Finance
