    What is Management ?

    Managementrefers to the process of coordinating andintegrating work activities so that theyre completed efficientlyand effectively with and through other people.

    The management process is the set of ongoing decisions andwork activities in which managers engage as they :

    plan, organize, lead, and control.

    1. The process refers to the ongoing functions or primaryactivities engaged in by managers.

    2. Coordinating others work activities is what distinguishes amanagers job from a non managerial one.

    1. Means of getting things done.2. Getting most output from least amount of inputs.

    equipment).

    4. E.g lowering reject rates, more manufacturedprojects in lesser time, cutting inventory levels.
