Most Latin@-focused courses are GE courses that work for UC/CSU and AA/AS Degree:

• ANTHRO 31 – Mesoamerican Origins, MW 12-1:30 SR, TT 10:00-12:00 Petaluma • HIST 8.2 – Latin American History from 1830, MW 10:30-12 SR • HIST 33 – History of Mexico, MW 1:30-3:00 SR; TT 9:00-10:30 Petaluma • INTDIS 4 – Latinoamerica & Caribbean Culture, TT 9-10:30 SR, Tue. 6-9 pm Petaluma • SPAN 40 – Section 6118, Elem Spanish for Spanish Speakers, TT 11:00-1:00 SR • SPAN 41 – Section 8510, Intermediate Spanish for Spanish Speakers, TT 11:00-1:00, SR • CHLD 90.4 – has one section taught in Spanish, Section 4189, W 6:30-9:30 pm SR • Puente Program ENGL 1A – continuation of the Fall program, both campuses • HSI Connections Program ENGL 1A, SR Campus • ENGL 33 – Chicano/a Arts and Literature, TT, 9:00-10:30 am, SR Campus • Non GE activity classes – Latin Dance, DANCE 88.1 and 88.2, SR

UC Davis School of Medicine Introduces

Prep Médico: Navigating Your Path Into Medicine The UC Davis School of Medicine is pleased to offer this six-week residential pipeline program for freshman and

sophomore college students interested in becoming physicians. Offered in the summer of 2018, the program’s main

focus is to help students navigate through their educational journey towards medical school and provide exposure to

the world of patient care.

Program highlights

� Experience dormitory life on a college campus

� Shadow health professionals from UC Davis Medical Center

and Kaiser Permanente

� Participate in medical simulation labs

� Explore Latino health disparities and social determinants of

health

� Discover health policy and its impact on Latino health

� Assess your leadership style and explore new skills

� Develop your path into medicine with structured mentorin

and advising

� Social justice, race relations and identity development

� No application fee

� Housing and transportation will be provided

� Small stipend upon successful completion of the program

Program eligibility

� Demonstrated interest in medicine and in serving Latino communities

� Completion of English Composition and

first semester of General Chemistry OR

General Biology

� In your first or second year of college

� Residence in the Central Valley or NortheCalifornia

� Proof of all required immunizations
