FIN FACTSLB Channing Crowder• Channing has always had an affection for animals – and not just his

Rottweiler, L.T. While at the University of Florida, he wrestled alligatorsand wild boars. “The alligator was about eight feet and we just grabbedthe snout and snatched it up,” Crowder said. “It was one of those latenights in Gainesville. We were bored and there was nothing better todo.”

P Brandon Fields• Brandon’s ultimate goal is to be a chiropractor once his football careerhas concluded. It’s not hard to understand considering the long line ofchiropractors in his family. It consists of his father, David, his brother, two uncles and five cousins. In addition his wife, Katie, who he marriedduring the 2008 offseason, is currently pursuing her degree in chiro-practic medicine at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Fla.

RB Lex Hilliard• Growing up in Kalispell, Montana, Lex had a unique way to miss de-

fenders both on and off the field. He would constantly try to avoid Char-lie, his German Shepherd, from nipping at his heels using techniquesthat he would use to great advantage on the football field. “You're ridinga bike, he’d try to bite the tires. I’m out in the yard playing football, he’dtry to bite my ankles," said Lex who joked that he developed his quicktwitch and high stepping running style from the elusiveness he showedin evading Charlie.

QB Chad Pennington• Many athletes have interesting hobbies and interests off the field andChad is no different. However, one of his interests involves a sport wheresome of the competitors can weigh in excess of 1,500 pounds. Chad’s#10 Bucking Bulls supplies bulls for the Professional Bull Riders Tour, which tours around North and South America.

LB Cameron Wake• Cameron took an unusual route to the NFL. Following his career at

Penn State, he signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted freeagent. Released by the Giants on June 22, 2005, Cameron entered thecorporate world and spent 2006 as a mortgage broker. He resumed hisprofessional football career in Canada with the B.C. Lions. “Everybodyhas their past,” Cameron said. “I guess mine was a little more unortho-dox than most.”
