Biography The Walt Disney Company was established in 1923, started by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney. From 1923 to 1928, the movies from Walt Disney were silent because of the technology. In 1928, the company created Mickey Mouse, and the first sound film from Disney was Steamboat Willie. It was released on November 18th, 1928. It was the third Mickey Mouse cartoon. The Mickey Mouse Cartoon on TV was very popular. In 1935, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs were released, Other famous cartoons such as The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men, The Sword and the Rose, Treasure Island were released in the 50’s during post-war. In July, 1955, Disney Land was open to all the visitors it attracted visitors across the country, in 1960’s, Disney land had visitors around the world. After Walt Disney’s death 1966, his brother took over as the chairman, CEO, and the president. The first thing he did was to rename Disney World as “Walt Disney World” to honor his brother. That is the Walt Disney World and Walt Disney Company today.

Walt Disney Company started in 1923, the company is going to be 88 years old, I like the company because I’ve watched many cartoons produced by Disney when I was small. I still like it today.
