Analyst Validation“Enterprise applications have traditionally been at cross purposes: the more complex the processes they support, the more difficult they are for users to learn and adopt. With Dynamics AX 2012, Microsoft adds support for greater complexity while making work simpler for administrators, developers, and end users..” Research Note: Previewing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, April 2011

“They have actually done a nice job of combining process manufacturing, discrete manufacturing and lean manufacturing in one product. Most other products don’t do that.”

“The product's enhanced flexibility and usability will position it well in deals at the margins of the enterprise category — companies with $500 million to $2 billion in revenues. ..”

• Dynamics AX will continue to be leader in mid-market. ‘SAP Business By design’ offering competition

• More of the larger enterprises choosing AX as their 2nd tier solution at divisional or country level – with an option to become corporate solution later

• Move to single platform strategy - move from legacy systems such as Siebel, Lotus Notes to integrated Sharepoint /CRM/AX….clients investing in this are reaping benefits of process integration

• Increasing use of Cloud to manage IT costs in line with demand – IT cost profile will change. AX 2012 is available on hosted type pricing, but not yet available via Microsoft cloud (unlike CRM)
