RING EVENTS:
RULES, RE G U LATIONS & INFORMATION

All stall bookings can be made on 0447 137 482.
1. All riders must wear ASA approved helmets
2. All competitors must fill out and sign indemnity waiver form and receive a wristband and number card for horse and rider as indication of this. These wristbands must be worn at all times and are to be shown to the stewards on entry into all rings.
3. No competitor will be allowed to enter the ring after commencement of judging unless prior permission had been granted.
4. Height of Ponies is not exceeding 14 hands, Galloways are 14 hands not exceeding 15 hands, Hacks are over 15 hands. Please note Show Hunter horses/ponies may not compete in an Open Hack.
5. Novice: A horse that has NOT won 1st prize in an individual event at any AgriculturalShow.
6. Inter m ed i at e : A horse that has not placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd in an individual event at aRoyal show.
7. No Horses are to be on the Show arena unless being judged.
8. All ridden events on Friday are for district competition ONLY (min of 3 months). A District competitor and horse and rider MUST reside at Bogan, Bourke, Cobar or Central Darling Shires or within 160km radius from Cobar.
9. Any protest must be made in writing to the Chief Steward within one hour after the event or half an hour before the event. A Protest Committee shall deal with all protests and the decision will be final.
10. Breeds exhibits must be currently registered with their respective societies and their registered owners financial members. Registration papers must be presented on request of Judges or stewards.
11. All Stalls must be booked and paid for prior to the Show, as per the instruction on the stable booking form.

16. He n dra Vi r us ‐ please note that a horse can be refused treatment by a vet if an owner cannot produce a certificate of vaccination for Hendra Virus.
17. Show E q ui p ment D‐ ue to Work Health and Safety regulations, there is to be under no circumstances any moving of Show Equipment i.e. Bollards etc. This equipment is placed in these areas for a reason and if you caught moving or tempering with the equipment you will be asked to leave the Show Ground immediately. If you have a problem with any of the Show Equipment please see the Chief Steward.
18. Park i ng There‐ will be designated parking areas located on the grounds for Horse Floats, Trucks and Competitors alike. There will also be STRICTLY NO PARKING AREAS located in the middle of stable blocks and also around the close vicinity of thestables.If a vehicle is found to be located in a NO PA R KING A REA you will be given 15 minutes to remove your vehicle, otherwise it will be towed from the show ground at your expense. All areas will be clearing marked and a map will be located on the grounds for clarification.

Riders and horses who compete in this ring are ineligible to compete in other rings and vice versa. (Riders and horses who compete in this ring can ride in other rings on Saturday) All other rules as per show program.
Judges decision is final, classes may be changed on the day to accommodate all riders. Age groups will be added as required.
Beginners ring is here to encourage young riders that would not usually be competing in the show to come out and have a go.
It is a great chance to get out in the ring without the pressure and expense and stress that comes with being competitive in the show ring.
Brief ou t line of classes:
1, 2 & 3, Neatest and cleanest. This will be judged in horse and rider.Clean saddle, bridle, pony boots etc. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the flashiest gear, give it a scrub and have a go.
4, 5&6, To be judged on the riders ability.
7 16,‐ all age groups to go in these classes together, they can ride or lead in class’7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13. 14, 15 & 16 are ridden.
17, 18 & 19 are to be judged on the ponies performance.
20, 21 & 22 are to be done in hand (led in bridle) and will be judged on the pony’s conformation and behaviour.
23, 24 &25 are also to be led in a bridle but will be judged on the handler’s ability to manage their pony.
Fancy dress will follow, be as creative as you can and have fun with it.
