day.

Club Building Opportunity

As you know, we focus a lot on building new Kiwanis clubs in this district, and this year will be no different. I have a

goal of building six new clubs this year, after having built four last year. We have already built one new club and have

others in process, but the few days before this conference, we will join together to build a new Kiwanis club in Madison,

WV, a community which is only 25 miles south of the conference hotel. Anyone wishing to help with this effort, to vol-

unteer a half day, a full day, or more, to help recruit, your additional hotel costs will be reimbursed. Please contact Kev-

in Dean at [email protected] or 304.594.1290 if you would like to help. Please join me and help us build a new commu-

nity of Kiwanians in this great district!

Attendance Incentive Programs

New Kiwanis Members who are in their first year of membership may apply for reimbursement of convention registra-

tion fees if they are attending their first district Kiwanis event. Registration fees must first be paid in advance, and the

member must actually attend the event, after which they may request reimbursement from the District Treasurer. Meal

costs are not reimbursable.

Enclosed are:

Registration Form;

Program Ad Information and Form; and

Tentative Agenda.

Program ads are a great way for a local business or nonprofit, Kiwanis club, or K-Family Member to promote their

work or recognize an individual. Please consider purchasing an ad in the program this year by completing and re-

turning this form.

Please provide copies of all information immediately to your club members, and ensure that your club is well-

represented. Please take advantage of this opportunity and everything we have planned for you and make this the larg-

est and most well-attended Mid-Year Conference we have had in years. Our goal is 150 in attendance. With your help

and support, we can certainly achieve that.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you in South Charleston and

until then, I remain

Yours in Kiwanis Service,

Sherry Charles
