Farewell and Thank you to Frank McLaughlin who is stepping down from our Board of Trustees. Frank has made significant contributions over the years and has willingly shared his expertise and knowledge on governance for the benefit of our school and parish community. Frank is unable to join us at our end of year Mass as he is traveling with his family. Safe travels to you and thank you.

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

the rains fall soft upon your fields

Photos of our Junior Syndicate Aotea Lagoon picnic today:

We’re in the season of Advent – a word that means coming or approaching. Of course, it is Christmas that is coming, and there is growing excitement as it nears. But Advent itself has something to offer which we’ll miss if we just focus on Christmas. Advent opens with a reminder that there is a “second coming” to prepare for. Jesus has already come among us and our baptism drew us into his way of life. We are already part of the Body of Christ. We now await his return, preparing for that by constantly renewing our commitment to love and to serve. Individually, and as a family, take some time to reflect on the way you are already connected to Jesus. Choose some action that will take your love into the life of someone less fortunate than you. Out of this loving action Advent will bring you to the festival of joy, Christmas, and it will mean so much more.
