The middle school journal is more playful and visual that the high school one , the written spaces are shorter and the indications for the students are designed according to their language.

This icons have being used in middle school to guarantee the appropriation of the conceptual and formal elements that we take into account in art class always. They were designed by their teacher to make the visual input a tool so that the students understand the differences between them and all the elements that they need to take into account, this icons will guide in a visual way the students through the journal making it easier for them to go back if necessary and review in the previous steps of the metacognitive process those elements that will be reviewed all over the journal .
