First I would like to thank everyone for their support
and interest in Midea Commercial Air conditioner
(CAC) business.
In 1999, we entered the central air conditioning
business. We have cooperated with Copeland
Emerson, Toshiba, Carrier and Toshiba-Carrier for
technological improvement and business expansion.
More than a decade on and Midea is still strongly
devoted to the R&D process. As a result we have a
number of innovative patented products that set us
apart in this high-tech industry.Today, we are one of
the most comprehensive international HVAC&R
equipment suppliers and we have a well established
R&D, product manufacturing, quality control and
after service system.
Thanks to innovative corporate culture, harmonious

According to the trend of technology development
as well as the shift of business mode between
economy and industry, Midea CAC is poised to take
advantage of opportunities for growth. In 2013, we
have launched the largest capacity 2200Ton falling
film type centrifugal chiller with the highest
efficiency in this industry. The V5X all DC inverter VRF
with the biggest combination capacity 88HP is the
largest one in the world. In the past ten years we
received a good response from the market as a result
of stable operation, high efficiency and convenient
serviceability. These technological innovations helped
us in greenhouse gas reduction, product energy
efficiency improvement and also in addressing global
environmental issues. We believe that strong product
capability and customer satisfaction are the keys to
success in such a competitive environment.
We are well aware that, a new age of product
customization is coming. As a commercial air
conditioner solution supplier we are keeping pace
with the the markets move towards filling the
demand for customized products that meet
customers specific needs. It requires more flexibility
in R&D and manufacturing. It also means our
marketing and sales teams are working more closely
with clients to ensure the provision of suitable and
effective solutions.

We appreciate very much your support and getting
involved with the Midea CAC overseas business.
In 2014, Midea CAC overseas business unit established a
business model for growth by increasing our
distribution network and close cooperation with
distributors to promote products. We made great
progress in many countries and grew together with our
distributors. The total sales revenue increased around
30% compared with 2013 despite the global economic
recession. In various global locations we have
exceptional reference projects such as education
facilities, hotels commercial buildings, hospitals, health
care centers and other super projects like airports and
transportation terminals. We even installed our VRF
product in the Beira-Rio Stadium for the 2014 FIFA
world cup.
Right now, we have the widest product line up in the
world. We are the most comprehensive CAC
equipment supplier in the industry from package units,
VRFs and chiller products. What we are doing now is
improving our service capabilities for clients. We are
developing a more professional faster responding team
better able to adapt to marketing, sales, logistical and
service needs. We take a detail oriented approach to
our pr o duc t s and s er v ic e t o main t a in our
competitiveness in the market.
In the next 3 to 5 years our strategy will be to develop a
strong core of customers. We are investing together
with them on the marketing, team construction,
project operation and professional channel developing.
We have two marketing platforms for Midea partners.
One is MDV Elite Camp which is a marketing and sales
training camp for all sales managers and sales engineers.
This creates a platform to share our market and
technical knowledge with our distributor’ s and also to
collect market information and advice to improve our
own customer service. Another platform is MDV Elite
Camp which is helping distr ibutors to access
professional sales channel such as design engineers,
consulting firms, HVAC&R institutions and other
organizations.
Looking to the future, we will continue to focus on
advancing technology, improving our quality of
service, and maintaining market awareness as well as
closely collaborating with clients for mutual
development.

3.5 Quality Control
Certi�cates
Midea Chongqing chiller testing center is one of the largest
testing bases in the world for chiller products.
The 8000Kw chiller performance test stand is certified by the
China National Refrigeration Equipment Inspection Center and
it boasts the widest cooling capacity test range from 140kW
to 8800kW.
Power supply voltage range is 380—460V 50Hz/60Hz
6000/6600V/10000/11000V 50Hz
in accord with all conditions of ARI550/590 and GB/T18430.1
High automation: tests instruments that are controlled by vari-
able frequency and PIDto ensure set point can be reached in a
short time.
High occupant efficiency: The test bench is equipped with
three individual cooling and control systems , max. three chill-
ers can be tested simultaneously.
High energy utilization rate: The test bench recovers all cool-
ing capacity by means of blending chilled and condensing
water. The whole system only needs to discharge heat gener-
ated by compressor thus energy and operation costs are
saved.
Midea air cooled screw testing center, water cooled screw
testing center and centrifugal chiller testing center are all AHRI
certified. AHRI testing observation is available for all chiller
products. The air cooled scroll chiller and FCU are Eurovent
certified products.

Midea CAC Testing Center
Midea CAC Shude testing center is directly subordinate to
Midea central air conditioner and all relevant products.
In 2007, the testing center was inspected and certified by
the China National Laboratory CNAS. Certification means that
the testing center has the approval to test various kinds of air
conditioners independently, giving authoritative reports and
carry on fundamental technical research.
Midea CAC Shunde testing center has more than fifty labs
including enthalpy difference labs, working condition labs,
sound rating labs, safety labs and reliability labs. Some of
them are authorized or approved by TUV, CAS and UL. Some
of the labs in accordance with International Laboratory
Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and with the ILAC Mutual
Recognition Arrangement (MRA). In total it covers over 25
thousands square meters, has more than 160 technicians
with academic degrees and more than 20 testing and evalu-
ation engineers with bachelor degrees or higher. In its
entirety represents approximately 2 billion RMB in assets.

3.6 Environment technology application
Midea has an enviable environmental record as a result of incorpo-
rating its eco-friendly philosophy into all aspects of its business. We
continue to meet with and even go beyond international and local
environmental protection legislation. All factories strive to reduce
the use of materials, water, and energy, along with the amount of
chemical waste and atmospheric pollutants generated. The benefits
of this responsible approach to manufacturing are seen in the
minimization of pollutants emitted and manufacturing costs.
Greener growth and energy efficiency will be key for the future development of the Midea manufacturing sector in the face of growing
pressure on resources and costs.
In all Midea factories, the wastewater is treated before being discharged into the city drainage system. Other waste is carefully sorted and
recycled, supported by a continually evolving factory layout that encourages the optimum use of resources. Returnable packaging such
as wooden crates and plastic packaging are reinvested when possible.
Factories with large areas exposed to sunlight take advantage of the latest in solar technology. Photovoltaic panels effectively reduce
heat generated by sunlight thus decreasing energy used by AC and ventilation systems in the factory. The most significant advantage of
such systems is the power generated for use in the manufacturing process. During shutdowns such systems also supply power back to
the grid.
Our products reflect the concept of combining maximization of energy efficiency with respect for the environment. The utilization of ATW
heat pump technology for example, results in far lower energy consumption and in the case of heating, drastically lower CO2 emissions
than are achievable with fossil fuel systems. Also the incorporation of numerous detailed features such as DC inverter control, heat recov-
ery, economy operating modes, Midea VRF intelligent management system, hotel movement sensors among others, enhance user
comfort without compromise to either efficiency or the environment.
