“Cameras”

By: Matt and Kim

While I know its letters that can spell I hear now it’s

words that can say, I decided to start writing less and I’m

talking more everyday. No time for cameras we’ll use our

eyes instead no time for cameras we’ll be gone when we’re

dead no time for cameras we’ll use our eyes instead.

The first sentence of the verse says “While I

know its letters that can spell I hear now it’s words that

can say, I decided to start writing less and I’m talking

more everyday.” I used my picture “Enlightenment is where

you find it” because even though they are words spelled out

I feel like these are words we could live by everyday.

Sometimes I feel like you need words to point the obvious

things out to you but when you live by them is what really

matters. The bus stop picture also corresponds with this

sentence because it is people talking, about what we don’t

know, but strangers talking makes you always wonder. After

the first sentence it goes on to, “No time for cameras

we’ll use our eyes instead no time for cameras we’ll be

gone when we’re dead no time for cameras we’ll use our eyes

instead.” The first photo that came to mind were the

leaves, because when I took them I wanted people to see and

appreciate what I was seeing. This goes along with the next

photo of the artwork on Kirkwood, the funny thing is I was

so nervous to take a picture there with everyone watching.

The last picture is one of my best friends Maya, I just

really liked the idea of her covering her one eye… It’s

like she has one eye willing to see the world and is shy

but trying to open herself to everything with this fragile

leaf in front of the other eye.
