John Young began his career as an accountant and on the staff of a community development corporation where he leased and managed commercial property and made small business loans for working capital and real estate projects. John joined the Saint Paul Port Authority where he provided clients with real estate services such as buy vs. lease decisions, site searches, lease and sale negotiations, and strategic real estate planning for industrial companies. He led the redevelopment of three industrial business parks totaling over 75 acres and approximately $50 million in project costs.

Russell Peterson is a principal and founding partner in Clever Architecture, a Midway based design firm that works to combine smart artistry with powerful relationships that transform lives. His innovative designs have lead to success for local companies such as Vision World, IDS/American Express, Life Time Fitness, and the recently built PiM Arts Center and High School. His company is currently redesigning “car jail” or by its more familiar name the Minneapolis Impound Facility making it more approachable, development friendly, and efficient.

Beth Bartz is a principal with SRF Consulting and leads their Transportation and Environmental Planning Division. Beth is highly regarded for her ability to manage complex and controversial issues and facilitate public and agency communication to achieve consensus. Beth served as the project manager for the highly controversial and successful St. Croix River Crossing Supplemental EIS, environmental planner for most of the major stadiums in the Twin Cities, and is currently leading planning efforts for the Rochester and Mayo Clinic’s Destination Medical Center.
Danette Parr is the City of Saint Paul’s Director of Business Development and is responsible for developing, managing and executing strategies to retain, expand and attract businesses in St. Paul. Danette has extensive experience in economic growth in a variety of Minnesota communities and has a laser focus on accelerating capital investment and job creation in Saint Paul.

Shauen is Greater MSP’s Center Cities Competitiveness Initiative (CCCI) Director, an initiative bringing together the cities of St. Paul/Mpls; the St. Paul/Mpls chambers; Ramsey/Hennepin Counties; the SP Port Authority; and the McKnight Foundation to stimulate job creation and capital investment in the two cities, with significant focus on four areas, including the midway and east side of Saint Paul.

Jim Erickson has been recognized as one of the state’s foremost lawyer/lobbyists for five decades, practicing at the local, state and federal government levels. He built and led the legal profession’s first specialized Governmental Relations practice group at Larkin Hoffman law firm from 1973 to 1998, serving as President of the 80-lawyer firm for five years in the 90’s. After “retiring” from law practice, Jim founded Solomon Strategies Group, accessing the best area resources in a virtual consulting firm to serve the “opportunity and challenge” needs of a variety of business and individual clients. SSG represents landowners and stakeholders in the Towerside Innovation District, an Amazon HQ2 site candidate.
