DAY 1: Arriving to Izmir and transfer to hotel by the Aegean coast in Kusadası.

Kusadası DAY 2: Breakfast at the hotel and an orientation tour of the area. Driving to Izmir Smyrna. Visiting the Roman Agora and driving through the city center. Revelation 2:8-11.

Agora

DAY 3: Breakfast at the hotel and visiting Ephesus, the great Roman city. It is about 4 hours walking including the Roman’s slope houses and the Artemis Temple. Acts 19. Revelation 2:1-4

Ephesus DAY 4: Checking out. Visiting a local village called Kirazlı between the vineries and having breakfast there (Cooking class is possible at the village). Then driving a local carpet weaving center then driving to Miletus, the ancient center of philosophy and art. Acts 20: 17-38. Paul gave his last talk there. Driving to Pamukkale and checking in the thermal spa hotel late in the afternoon.

Kirazlı Village DAY 5: Breakfast at the hotel. Visiting first Laodicea in the morning. It is an active excavation site. It has two big ancient theatre and huge agoras and colonnaded streets. Revelation 3:14-18. Lunch by

the skirts of high mountains then visiting ancient Hierapolis modern day Pamukkale which is famous for the white limestone terraces and antique pool. Enjoying the spa hotel next.

Pamukkale (Cotton Castle) DAY 6: Breakfast at the hotel and check out. We will see a local town famous for its textile, Buldan. We will continue Alasehir which was Philadelphia once.

Revelation 3:7-11. There are not so many ruins to visit. We can eat local kebap here at famous Kapamacı Ethem Usta.

The region is the center of sultana grapes and vinery. We can also visit a local wine factory Kavaklıdere. Then driving to Salihli which was Sard. Revelation 3:1-3. If time allows visiting the Artemis Temple and ancient Roman city. Staying in Salihli Lidya Thermal Spa Hotel.

Sardis

DAY 7: Breakfast at the hotel. Check out. Driving to Thyatira which is modern day Akhisar. It is a very fertile land surrounded by many fields all around the year. On the way to Thytira we will see lots of hills covering the royal tombs of Lydian Kings and riches. Later on Persians and Alexander’s generals controlled all this region. We will continue to Bergama which was Pergamon. It has a beautiful acropolis, a high hill with many Greek Temples and ruins. Revelation 2:12-16.

Staying in Bergama.

Thyatira DAY 8: Breakfast at the hotel and check out. After seeing the Asklepion and Red Basilica we will drive to Assos, a beautiful port town by the Aegean Sea opposite the Greek Island Lesbos. Staying there and relaxing.

Red Basilica DAY 9: Free day. Exploring the ancient ruins and the local town.

DAY 10: Breakfast at the hotel. Check out. Drive to ancient Troy and Dardanelles. Driving back to Istanbul. Transfer to the airport for the evening flight or to the hotel. Istanbul services are possible.
