From the castle you can see the whole panorama of Milazzo, it is a popular place for tourists.

Nebrodi ParkNebrodi park is a place surrounded by the mountains, where they raise black pigs. There they make cheese and salami.There’s a restaurant connected to the park where they sell local products

Mount Etna

Mount Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and is in an almost constant state of activity. The fertile volcanic soils support extensive agriculture, with vineyards and orchards spread across the lower slopes of the mountain and the broad Plain of Catania to the south.

TAORMINATaormina is a very known city nearby Milazzo, it has very narrow streets full of shops. In the summer it is completely packed with tourists that invade the city thanks to his wonderful climate and beaches.

SalinaSalina is located north-west of Lipari and it is the second biggest and most populous island of the Aeolian Archipelago, after Lipari. The island counts around 2.200 inhabitants and it is made up of three municipalities. In Salina there are six volcanoes, whose last eruption dates back to 13.000 years ago. The main activities in Salina are the cultivation of grapes, oil, capers. Salina is the home of the well-known white wine Malvasia.

In Salina we first went to the museum of emigration where we saw various pictures and old visas that showed the many people who had to emigrate in the past from Milazzo.

In the Salina vineyards we got to know how one of the most famous Sicilian wines\liquor is made and later they served us a lunch with very traditional Sicillian dishes. One of the most famous drinks made there is Malvasia, which is a really sweet alcoholic drink, that is served with “Piparelle”
