PSSA Basketball On Monday 28thJuly, the boy’s school basketball team played Culburra Public School in the PSSA Knockout. Culburra started the game confidently scoring the first few baskets. Alex D scored the first points for Milton, however, Cameron P was the star of the match scoring 18 points out of Milton’s 24. Culburra’s defence was too good for the boys leading to a final score of 24-43. Milton closed the gap in the 3rd quarter and demonstrated great team play and determination but with the reintroduction of Culburra’s star player the opposition moved clear in the final quarter. Well done to the team for a good season. Once again they demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship both at training and during the games. Thank you to Gavin Dorrell for refereeing once again and Julie Dadd for scoring. A big thanks to all the parents for their encouraging support all year

1S Assembly Item 1S is running the K-2 assembly on Friday 8th August. It will be held in the hall at 10:45am. The theme is ‘Secret Agents’ and the children are asked to bring black pants/tights and black t-shirts (or the closest items to this look) on the day. Items placed in a clearly marked plastic bag would be very much appreciated. The children will change back into their school clothes after the assembly. Parents are very welcome. Lost Property The lost property bins are once again filled and overflowing with school uniform items. Many are only small but unfortunately have no names on them, making it difficult to find their rightful owners. If your child is missing any property please encourage them to look through lost property and collect their belongings. Any items that are left at the end of next week will be washed and donated for spare clothing or re-sale in the clothing pool.

Check LABELS on clothing Please check all labels on your child’s clothing. If your child brings home clothing not belonging to them please make sure they are returned to school.
