Premier Mining and Mineral Exploration Forum in Russia

The 7th Mining and Exploration Forum and Expo “MINEX Russia 2011” will be held at the Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel in Moscow, Russia on 4 - 6 October 2011.

Organised since 2005 the annual “MINEX Russia” Fo-rum is a premier business event which brings together over 500 mining professionals from Russia and over-seas. The Forum plays critical role in creating wider platform for promotion of technical and investment co-operation and stimulating business opportunities for both domestic and international industry players. This year the main theme of the forum will be “Rus-sia – Open for business” highlighting the key positive developments and emerging opportunities for new ventures in the mineral exploration and mining sector.

The multi-discipline forum agenda covers the whole range of activities, including green field and brown field exploration, geological survey, exploration devel-opment, mining rights regulation and trading, mining investment and financing, mining technologies and equipment, mining services, technological innova-tion, mining education, etc. Every year the scope and agenda of the Forum have been transforming and of-fering fresh perspective on key mining developments and challenges in Russia.

The 7th Mining and Exploration Forum and Expo “MINEX Russia 2011” consists of five main parts:

2. Young Mining Professionals Day and HR show

5. MINEX annual “Russian Mining Excellence Award” and Gala Dinner

Master classes for mining professionals organised in a “workshop” format are designed to enhance further professional training and qualification processes. They are primarily aimed at senior and technical managers and address business and operational issues faced by mining companies and investors.

Young Mining Professionals Day has been organ-ised since 2010 as an open platform where mining businesses and mining consultants could outsource potential prospects and “educate the educators” on the industry’s employment needs and professional training requirements.

The two-day forum is organised as multi-flow and multi-discipline conference divided into plenary and technical sessions, business to business podiums and academic sessions offering extensive platform for presentations and dialogue between various business,

academic and government groups taking part in the forum.

The two-day exhibition offers companies “home base” for enhancing visibility and running one-on-one meetings and presentations for current and prospec-tive clients, associates and other stakeholders.

Annual “Russian Mining Excellence” MINEX Award and Gala Dinner is one of Forum’s most extensive net-working events. The Award Show is themed differently every year and is designed to stimulate peer-to-peer competition for the right to be nominated as Russia’s mining champion. MINEX Award is open to local and international businesses operating in Russia and is run by a group of independent jurors which ensures the Award’s credibility and highest industry esteem.

MINEX “Russia Mining Excellence 2010” award winners

“Russian Mining Excellence” Award was estab-lished in 2007. The main purpose of the award is to encourage healthy competition and merit achievements of mining companies and mining professionals working in Russia. MINEX Moscow Mining Club

Russia has established the status of the world mineral mining power a long time ago but Russian mining companies have become noticeable on the international markets only in the recent years.
