STEEL FORMING ABOUT MMC
MMC is a genuine Territory owned and operated family business. For over 20 years MMC has been servicing various sites across northern Australia with engineering, fabrication, fitting and personnel solutions in the mining, construction and oil & gas industries. Within this time MMC has been able to create an intrinsic network of clientele with our offer of local and industry specific knowledge.
MMC has a first class engineering, fabrication, fitting and labour hire facility, ideally located within kilometres of road freight depots and barge facilities, in the heart of the industrial precinct located at East Arm. MMC has recently commissioned a new heavy fabrication workshop extending the capacity of our current facility with 20,000m2 of land and 5,000m2 under roof.
MMC capabilities include but are not limited to inhouse fabrication, mechanical fitting & machining, wear linings & applications, labour hire, equipment and tooling hire, procurement, laydown & logistics, onsite construction & projects, onsite maintenance & shutdowns.
The company is now also certified to QA ISO 9001:2008 and QHSAS 18001:2007 / AS/NZS 4801:2001.
Currently MMC are servicing and supplying such major companies as Crocodile Gold Union Reef Mine, Newmont Granites Gold Mine, Xstrata Zinc McArthur River Mine and Mt Isa Mine, Panoramic Resources Savannah Nickel Mine, OM Manganese Bootu Creek Mine, BHP Billiton GEMCO, Rio Tinto Alcan and Adelaide Brighton Northern Cement plus more.

PLATE FABRICATION
MMC is able to fabricate all varieties of chutes, tanks and hoppers with our rolling and forming equipment . All layouts can have DXF drawings generated in house for 3rd party profile cutting to ensure an accurate finish. Items up to 16m wide can be fabricated under roof with our overhead cranes and large exit doors for loading and remov-al. Tank fabrication up to 40tonne and 8metre diameter can be fabricated on automated tank rotators.
With the support of our in house application of wear resistant linings MMC can install ceramics, rubber and Q&T plate to the specifications of the client. MMC also has welding procedures and per-sonnel qualified to 1554, 3992 and ASMEIV in a wide variety of materials and processes to ensure that all client specifications are met to suit the items being manufactured.

WEAR LININGS & APPLICATION FITTING & MACHINING
With approximately 600m² of floor space dedicated
to our fitting department that includes a clean and
temperature controlled rebuild room, 10t overhead
crane, lathes, mills, tool grinders and horizontal bor-
er, we can supply a complete overhaul service for
fixed plant equipment.
Rebuilt and overhaul items are completed with
inspection documents and rebuild reports to ensure
the customer of a quality finish.
With experience in such equipment as Lightnin,
Flender, David Brown, Croft, SEW, PHB, Rossi, Nord-
berg, Sumitomo, Fenner, Aerzen, Busch, Metso, War-
man, TKL Hydro Titan, plus many more, MMC is able
to offer a rebuild and installation service and pride
ourselves on our experience and competitive service.

CONSTRUCTION & SITE PROJECTS
With strong support from our versatile workshop and
labour hire supply, MMC is able to complete broad site
based projects and construction from a few personnel for
a few days up to 100 personnel for months. Our service
delivers a safe and quality outcome with personnel who
are experienced with operating in remote conditions.
Our aim is to provide all our clients with the best possible
service using our own qualified experienced personnel to
successfully complete all contracts within budget and on
time.
SHUT DOWNS
CONSTRUCTION & SITE PROJECTS
With a strong labour supply that is supported by our versatile workshop capability MMC is able to supply shut downs with either labour to be managed by the principle or hand over jobs. In 2010, 2011 & 2012 MMC were involved in an average of 1 or more shuts per week on over 6 northern Australian mine sites.
