So, How to Begin?

STEP 1: Determine your content

Step 2: Set up themed content folders on your iTouch and iPad

iPad -180 folders, each folder can store 20 apps for a total of 4,400 apps

iPhone - 180 folders, each folder can store 12 apps for a total of 2,160 apps

Step 3: Download a Common Core Standards App

Promote Guided Investigations

Guided Investigations:

• Can be Theme/Topic-based, or match core instruction• Support Common Cores call to expose students to multiple text types at varying degrees of challenge• Allow for student-led instruction

Open the folder The Three Little Pigs1. List three books you might want to read.

2. Circle one in green. Tell why you want to read that book more than the others.

3. Set the alarm clock for ten minutes. Read and reread the book until the alarm goes off.4. How many times did you read the book?

5. Use the word meaning graphic organizer in Tools4Students and note three interesting words from your book. Email the completed page to MissB@gmail.com.

6. Use Dragon Dictation and Notes to retell the story. Email the retelling to MissB@gmail.com.
