Advent Festival TODAY! A celebration of the Advent season, with crafts for all ages, today at 4:30pm. The Appalachia Service Project will host a soup dinner at 5:00pm along with family cookie decorating for dessert. At 6:00pm we invite everyone to sit back and enjoy our children’s Christmas musical “Crazy, Busy, Peaceful, Holy Night.” ———————————————————————————————— Community Christmas Breakfast—Join us in the Christian Life Center on Saturday, December 8, at 9:00am for breakfast sponsored by our United Methodist Men. Donations will be accepted for our Appalachia Service Project mission. Everyone is welcome! This year we also will have a special guest Santa to entertain the children and pose for pictures. Please sign up at wpumc.com/communitybreakfast and let us know how many are coming, so we’ll know how much food to prepare. Join us in the Sanctuary on Sunday, December 9 from 2:00-4:00pm as we hear presentations from our leadership teams (trustees, finance, etc.) on the current state of the church and progress on parking, the Heart and Home capital campaign and other matters. Hope to see you there! ———————————————————————————————— Christmas Food and Toy Drive—Sunday, December 9, at all worship services, 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. The congregation is asked to bring food for Christmas distribution OR financial donations. Also, please bring an UNWRAPPED new toy donation ($15-$20) to be collected and blessed at the altar during worship. Guests at the Christmas food distribution will be able to shop for their children at Santa's Workshop. Last year about 240 toys were distributed. Help us make the 2018 Christmas celebration for our Food Pantry participants even more joyous! ———————————————————————————————— The White Plains White Christmas Program will be providing food and gifts to local community families in need again this year. Study includes a weekly large group gathering with video teaching by J. D. Greer, small group discussion time, and homework. $15 covers the workbook and all supplies.
