Dear Ministry Leaders,
This is the time of the year we arereminded why we love Arizona! The weather is unbeatable andspring fever hits. There is a lotgoing on in April and early Mayhere at St. Patrick. To start with Iwant to bring you up to speed onthe listening session process. Theresults from the listening sessionshave been processed andsynthesized which brings us to thenext level of planning and work. The Stewardship Council took theresults from the listening sessionsand worked through a discernmentprocess to priori t ize andcategorize them. Staff leadershipalso took the same results andworked through a similar process. Both sets of results were shared
with Fr. Eric and put within theframework of his five goals for the
next three years.
Up-to-date information will beshared at our spring MinistryLeader Meeting Wednesday, April
17 from 6-8:30 PM. On theagenda is a process for sharinginformation about each ministry andhow you have been able tochampion our mission statement. Itwill be a full and fruitful evening!Last spring we had a catered lightfinger food reception at 6:00 PMand began our meeting at 6:30PM. It worked very well last year,so lets do it again!

Hold Friday, May 3 for our annual Parish Minister Appreciation Dinner! This year we'll celebrate an early Cinco de Mayo with a
Mexican-themed night at our "Nacho Average Appreciation Dinner!" We appreciate all you do and all that everyone does for our
parish community and for the community beyond our parish borders as well. So mark off Friday, May 3 as "busy" on your calendar
and plan on being here at St. Patrick that night.
Gracias, Gracias, Gracias Friday, May 3

News from Foster Care Support Ministry
This new ministry, which hopes to offer an array of supportive mentoring relationships, donations,
services and mechanisms for Foster Parents in the north-east valley, began with a Come and See
breakfast on March 23rd. What a joy to see quite a strong number of parishioners there to see how
they could help!
That morning also saw Marie Cancella take on her new role as Leader of the ministry, supported by
teammate Anne Johnson. Please feel free to offer our new ministry team leaders Marie and Anne
your congratulations at [email protected] (for Anne) at [email protected].
Congratulations to our own Kris and Joe Jacober! Being foster care advocates formany years, they are being honored as 2013 Phoenix Champions for Children for
their tireless advocacy and personal dedication to improving the lives of children in
foster care by Childrens Action Alliance, community leaders, legislators and fellowadvocates!
Thank you Kris and Joe for being a strong witness to Christian Disciples in
Mission!

Eucharistic Adoration Ministry
The Eucharistic Adoration Ministry consists of indi-
viduals who have committed to a specific hour of prayerbetween 9AM and 8PM on either Mondays or Wednes-
days each week. If your Ministry would like to commit
to having people pray in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
at a specific hour on either of those two days, please
contact Rosemary Cudzewicz at 480-513-1762 for more
information.
As the heat intensifies so does the need for water for our neighbors who thirst.
Once again, our community will be collecting water curbside before and after all Masses from May 4through June 30. The water we collect is taken to hydration centers and distributed to the homeless, elderly and disabled by outreach teams from Basic Mission, Catholic Charities, Salvation Army andStand up for Kids just to name a few.
Last year we engaged various ministries to coordinate each Mass collection (with the help of a WaterDrive coordinator for guidance). As a Ministry Leader, we want to invite you to consider involving yourministry to take part in the collection.only ONE Mass with time spent before and after Mass. Familiesare welcome! We found the children are very helpful and good thankers to those who donate!
The drive was very successful last year and we established a goal this year of 100,000 bottles of water!!With the help of your ministry, this goal is attainable and we will be helping save the health and lives of
our neighbors who thirst during the heat of our desert summers.
Matthew 25:35 .. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink..For more information, please contact Cheryl K@480-998-3843 or [email protected].
