CL Sharing the Good News Every time I have the opportunity to share the gospel at a public school, I have to pinch myself to believe it. As I have shared before, Wren is a leader for FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at the middle school where she teaches. Any student lead club is legally permitted to meet on campus before or after school, so every Friday morning 100-150 students voluntarily come to the schools gym to hear about Christ. This Fall I was invited by the leadership team to be a guest speaker with the specific purpose of sharing the Good News. It felt great to share with 6 th , 7 th & 8 th grade students about how much God loves them. I explained how He pro- vided a way to have a relationship with Him through Christ. At the end of my talk I gave them an opportunity for those who were ready to pray to receive Christ. It was exciting to see all of those who responded remain standing, ac- knowledging before their peers that they had given their lives to Christ. Please keep these precious new believers in your prayers. Serving the Poor We have continued to reach out to and serve the poor as God has directed us. Although it has been a blessing to be God’s hands helping those in need, at times it has also been heart wrenching. We have watched some of those we have helped and grown to care for deeply, turn back to the same destructive habits that created their poverty in the first place. Many times we have seen them take 3 steps forward only to then take 2 steps back. Though the road to recovery is a long process, we give all glory to God as we watch Him continue to provide for all of the needs of the poor we work with. We have seen that all the help they need is available, they just have to truly want to be helped and follow through with the steps needed to redirect their life’s path. Prayer Needs: Please pray for Natasha, as she has just ended another unhealthy rela- tionship. Pray that she will find her contentment in Christ and grow to maturity before she begins any other relationship. Pray for Tasha and Justice and their little 5 month old baby McKayla. Pray that God would set Justice free from addiction to alcohol and drugs. Ask God to give me wisdom as I meet with them for counseling. Pray for our many neighbors who are joining us to serve the poor in the neighborhoods around us. Many of them do not know Christ. Pray that God would continue to open up more opportunities for me to share with them. Pray that I would share the message of hope with clarity, and, they might come to know Him and grow in their relationship with Him. CL Sharing the Good News

Every time I have the opportunity to share the gospel at a public school, I have

to pinch myself to believe it. As I have shared before, Wren is a leader for

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at the middle school where she teaches.

Any student lead club is legally permitted to meet on campus before or after

school, so every Friday morning 100-150 students voluntarily come to the

schools gym to hear about Christ.

This Fall I was invited by the leadership team to be a guest speaker with the

specific purpose of sharing the Good News. It felt great to share with 6th, 7th

& 8th grade students about how much God loves them. I explained how He pro-

vided a way to have a relationship with Him through Christ. At the end of my

talk I gave them an opportunity for those who were ready to pray to receive

Christ. It was exciting to see all of those who responded remain standing, ac-

knowledging before their peers that they had given their lives to Christ. Please

keep these precious new believers in your prayers.

Serving the Poor We have continued to reach out to and serve the poor as God has directed us.

Although it has been a blessing to be God’s hands helping those in need, at

times it has also been heart wrenching. We have watched some of those we

have helped and grown to care for deeply, turn back to the same destructive

habits that created their poverty in the first place. Many times we have seen

them take 3 steps forward only to then take 2 steps back. Though the road to

recovery is a long process, we give all glory to God as we watch Him continue to

provide for all of the needs of the poor we work with. We have seen that all

the help they need is available, they just have to truly want to be helped and

follow through with the steps needed to redirect their life’s path.

Prayer Needs: • Please pray for Natasha, as she has just ended another unhealthy rela-

tionship. Pray that she will find her contentment in Christ and grow to

maturity before she begins any other relationship.

• Pray for Tasha and Justice and their little 5 month old baby McKayla.

Pray that God would set Justice free from addiction to alcohol and

drugs. Ask God to give me wisdom as I meet with them for counseling.

• Pray for our many neighbors who are joining us to serve the poor in the

neighborhoods around us. Many of them do not know Christ. Pray that

God would continue to open up more opportunities for me to share with

them. Pray that I would share the message of hope with clarity, and,

they might come to know Him and grow in their relationship with Him.

A friend, who knows about our ministry to the poor, made us aware of a

young couple and their 3 month old baby that live in a trailer just a couple miles

away from us. He said that the heater in their trailer was no longer working and

they were in desperate need of a space heater. . .

I contacted them and went over to meet them the next day. I was surprised to see

how young they were. The mother is only 20 and the dad is not much older. They

have been married for almost a year now. Their baby, Kayla is healthy and very

precious. Although their trailer is directly across the highway from where we live,

it is a whole different world. Their neighbors all have pit bulls tied out in front of

their trailers. The mother, Tasha, said she fears one of them getting loose and

attacking her and the baby. One of my friends, who also lives in government hous-

ing, went to visit them shortly after I did. After going into their trailer and seeing

their living conditions, he told me he had to excuse himself before going to his car

to cry.

Tasha and Justice are not complaining. They told me that they are glad to have the

trailer to live in. Before the baby came, they lived in a tent for 6 months and then

in the backseat of a car for 3 months. Justice is very willing to work and is ac-

tively seeking a job. He does some side jobs (when they are available): yard work,

carpentry, plumbing, & fencing.

We believe God has led us to them to "Adopt" them - to help and be advocates for

their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. I have begun to share my testimony

and pray with this couple. Every-

thing we give them we give freely

in the name of Jesus. We tell them

He has heard their prayers and

loves them..

Since we met them the Lord has

provided a new heater, refrigera-

tor, blankets, pots and pans, food,

a van, fixed their water heater

(they were using cold water for

showers), and a possible job at

Lowe’s. I am meeting with them

for counseling.

Please join us in praying they will be delivered

from all emotional, financial, and spiritual bondage.

Also, that we will soon be able to connect them

with a local church, see them grow in their rela-

tionship with Christ, and provide them with safer,

cleaner housing somewhere else..

Your willingness to partner with us in ministry con-

tinues to make a difference in children like Kayla's

future!

Thank you for your faithfulness to pray for and support this ministry.

Please consider this ministry in your year-end giving.
