MiniTRACE S5 is a contamination meter designed to improve the safety of workers in the control areas of nuclear power plants, reprocessing plants, research centers and hospitals. Its simple use makes it easy to detect possible spots of contamination in the controlling areas fast and easy.

Four alarm tresholds are pre-programmed. These thresholds can also be changed by user via infrared (IR) communication (optional, incl. IR-Transreceiver).

Calculation of mean value can be started by using the button ‘mode’.

MiniTRACE S5 is supplied with two batteries for a long battery lifetime (2000 hours at ≤ 100 Bq). Its 6-digit display shows the activity value with a fixed decimal point. There is an additional 5-digit alphanumeric display showing alarm and instrument quality features.

When you choose the test source option, the MiniTRACE S5 will be delivered with a built-in low activity test source (± 25 Bq) which is far below most laws on test sources. Please check your local laws for import, storage and use of this source. This test source can be used to check if the MiniTRACE is still working correctly in the lower measurement range.
