1.EXECUTIVESUMMARY ProjectDescription:

The project consists of the revitalization of Minnesota Avenue starting from 300 feet south of Benning Road, N.E. intersection to Sheriff Road, N.E. The project will improve pedestrian & vehicular traffic through the area and also improve the aesthetics of the neighborhood. Work includes removal of existing rigid pavement and replacing with a flexible pavement, removal of existing sidewalk and replacing with permeable concrete and exposed aggregate sidewalk, removal and replacement of curb and gutter, sign installation and pavement markings as shown on project plans and indicated in the specifications and special provisions. Also, incorporated into the project is Low Impact Development (LID) work, lighting and traffic signals. The project is also a pilot for DC Plug.

The project is 90.00% Federally‐Funded and 10.00% District‐Funded. DDOT selected Fort Myer Construction Corporation (FMCC) as the contractor and awarded the $19,781,553.14 contract on July 21, 2017. DDOT issued notice to proceed with contract work to FMCC on September 11, 2017 with work to begin and an original completion date of October 28, 2019.

Based on the January 2019 schedule update #15 the general contractor shows a completion date of September 27th 2019.

Based on the December 2018 schedule update #14 the general contractor shows a completion date of October 15th 2019.

Based on the November 2018 schedule update #13 the general contractor shows a completion date of November 13th 2019.

On December 4th 2018, the general contractor submitted a letter applying for partial suspension of work between the months of December 1st 2018 and April 1st 2019 to the Contracting & Procurement Office.

Based on the October 2018 schedule update #12 the general contractor shows a completion date of September 4th 2019, the schedule lost 22 days from previous update.

Based on the September 2018 schedule update #11 the general contractor shows a completion date of August 13th 2019.

Based on the August 2018 schedule update #10 the general contractor shows a completion date of September 6, 2019 the schedule lost 14 days from the previous update. And the project currently at 40% completion.

Based on the July 2018 schedule update #09 the general contractor shows a completion date of August 23, 2019.

The revised schedule does not show the impact of the partial suspension of work which was approved by the contracting officer until a change order has been formally approved for the discounted days. Then the completion date will be adjusted.

A revised MOT plan was submitted by the general contractor and based on this, the baseline schedule was revised to show time gain based on the revised MOT. The schedule was approved as submitted. The new completion date is 19th of July, 2019.

On December 28th 2017, the general contractor submitted a letter applying for partial suspension of work between the months of December 1st 2017 and April 1st 2018 to the Contracting office. Approval was granted on January 12, 2018 any time extension will be formalized by change order.

3.STATUSOFCONSTRUCTION/PROGRESSSUMMARY

The summary is for work done from Monday 18th to Saturday 23rd of March 2019. Work included building of retaining wall, wheelchair, excavation and placing of sidewalk.
