is very much appreciated. Our charity was started a year ago when Kate, my daughter, was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 23. She was a very fit, healthy eating, non smoking, water drinking young girl. This just shows this disease affects people across the board not just old ladies. Kate has undergone four operations, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, herceptin

and tamoxifen. She has had dozens of blood tests and scans but thankfully she is on the mend. She still has treatment every three weeks for another six months. Kate received a real hair wig from the TCT which made a difference to her. We would like to supply wigs to the age group not catered for by TCT.. Having witnessed this all first hand we have seen what makes a difference to the care and comfort of patients and inspired by Kate’s positive attitude we decided we must

do something to help and say thank you. We work towards supplying real hair wigs for cancer pat ients, pamper days, research,complementary therapies and anything that the doctors and nurses tell us is required. The staff at St John’s are very involved with us and help in any way they can. We also try and raise awareness of this horrible disease.Kindest regardsMags Parsons-Fenwick
