Missile Sciences & Strat-Tac Conf. Planning • MSTC Lead for Conference planning
We need to identify an interim lead until we can place somebody from the TC that is employed by the sponsor .
• Conference planning Darren, can you bring in the "holy grail" of conference planning?
• Sessions that will make a good addition to this conference….. Would like to tie some sessions to specific speakers/agendas – Latter still
in work
• Prep of Call for Papers Re-use of last year’s paper solicitation we can rehash for this year.
29
Other Topics• Past Actions
Photos and biographies to Vicki Subcommittee updates to MSTC Handbook S/C chair succession plans
• Next Meeting (telecon) – Nominally May 25, 2011

Manuscript Management Update
• ScholarOne manuscript submission procedures:. Last Nov, we learned that we could transition manuscript upload from ManuscriptCentral to AbstractCentral so that all conference work would take place in one site rather than two separate sites.
• We felt this would be a major improvement and began the work necessary to implement it starting with our Spring 2011 conferences. After viewing and testing a demonstration site with this module, called Speaker Management, we asked ScholarOne to provide us a number of customizations to this new manuscript upload and session chair work area.
• A number of these customizations have already been implemented, but others are still being developed, some of which are critically needed. As a result, we have decided to delay use of Speaker Management until all of the changes we need are in place. This means that all of our Spring and Summer Conferences will be using the two-site configuration just as they did last year.
• While this is disappointing, we remain pleased with ScholarOne’s responsiveness to AIAA’s requests and criticisms, and feel they are working hard to provide what we need.
