Quilters are a rare breed from hundreds of years ago. Our ancestors made quilts

out of necessity. Quilters now quilt to create, design, and, in general to pass the time. We make beautiful bed cover-ings, wall designs, and gifts of love. The process often takes days, weeks, months, or years. Some never are finished. But when a quilt top is finally finished we

want it quilted, “sandwich,” with just as much care as we put into it. That’s where I come in. I will work with your finished

quilt top and give you quality service and products. You and I will choose a pat-

tern, batting, and thread. I can even help you put the finishing touches with the

binding, if need be. I have over 40 years of sewing/quilting experience. So let’s dig out some of those UFO’s that you have hidden away or finish those tops you’ve already started and let’s turn

them into Quilts.

Each quilt is a work of art! You work hard to choose the fabric colors, just the right pattern. You

and I will work together to enhance your beautiful work of art and turn it into a masterpiece. Before I start working on your quilt top, I will give you a firm quote for the design(s) you choose. To calculate the yardage of your quilt, multiply its width by its length and divide by 1,296. For example: Queen size: 84” x 92” = 7,728 square inches ÷ 1,296 = 5.96 square yards. For an all over, lightly quilted pattern, at 0.01/sq in, the price would be approximately $77.28, for the quilting only. I carry over 100 different patterns and will order a specific pattern for you if I don’t have it on hand. You will need to provide ordering infor-mation. All my quilting is done freehand, no computers are involved.

You may provide your own batting or choose from one of the above options. Thread charges are $7 for the upper and $5 for the lower, if color changes are needed there will be a $3 additional for each thread color change. How to order: Prepare your quilt top – if you are providing the back-ing and batting they must be a minimum of 6 to 8 inches larger than your quilt top. Prepare your binding if you are choosing that service. Incorrect or poor preparation will incur extra charges. Defects in quilt piecing cannot be hidden by quilting over it.
