Harvard was established
to train ministers of the
Gospel. They experienced
Mission Drift. Yale was
founded with the same
goals. Sadly, they too ex-
perienced Mission Drift.
In the 1880’s, hundreds of
colleges were founded to
train ministers to pastor
the thousands that came
to Jesus in the Revival.
Most of these colleges
have experienced Mission
Drift. Our local university,
which was one of these,
had the Campus Crusade
(CRU) director escorted
off the campus by the cam-
pus police for proselytizing.
Talk about Mission Drift.
We should keep Hebrews
12:1-2 tuned in daily.
Where our eyes are fo-
cused is generally where
we end up going. Harvard
took their eyes off Jesus;
Yale took their eyes off Je-
sus (you get the idea.)
Strategies to accomplish the
Great Commission and
our personal missions with-
in the context of the Great
Commission can change.

WELCOME, NEW MEMBERS
Jeremy Harris
Lead Pastor
Cornerstone Church
Fox Valley Menasha, WI
(Ordination)
Jeremy Harris was called into the ministry after being led to
Christ by his identical twin brother when he was 21 years
old. He is passionate about knowing Christ and being truth-
ful. He started out at a church in Arkansas working in the
Children’s Ministry, and then became involved in Youth With
a Mission, which is where he found his wife, Alyssah. Called
to missions when she was only 15, Alyssah had already trav-
elled the world serving God when Jeremy met her. They
have been happily married now for 16 years. With a strong
passion for the nations, Jeremy and Alyssah led outreaches in
China, Turkey and Mexico. Then they decided to become full
time missionaries in Turkey and lived there for eight years. Their
youngest two children were actually born in Turkey. All together
they have three daughters, Lindsey, Madeline and Kayra, and their
youngest is a son named Jazan.
They moved back to the States almost five years ago, and Jeremy
has been the Lead Pastor at Cornerstone Church for three years.
Alyssah’s ministry now is being a loving, unwavering mother to
their children. They’re a Green Bay Packers family, and they en-
joy spending time outdoors and travelling together. When he can
find time, Jeremy likes to run, go fishing and read. He recom-
mends the book “Humility” by Andrew Murray, which teaches,
“Be nothing in order that God may be everything.”
Jeremy Robinson
Associate and Youth Pastor
Church of the Good Shepherd
Wayne, OH
(Upgrade to Ordination)
Jeremy Robinson says, “I have been blessed to be part of this
great ministry most of my life.” In fact, it was at a Harvest
Network (then AECM) event Jeremy attended when he was
in high school that he first felt the call to ministry. Now he is
the Associate and Youth Pastor at Church of the Good
Shepherd and has had a general license through HNI since
2003. “15 years later, I am still passionate about what God is
calling me to do and believe that He has more for me
to do.”
Jeremy is a servant leader who heavily invests in helping the
next generation reach their potential in God. He has been
involved with Christian Teen Summer Camp, IMPACT, for over
20 years after attending as a student in 1995. He has been the
co-director of the camp and IMPACT Fall Retreat for five years.
Despite their incredibly busy summer of preparing for and lead-
ing IMPACT, Jeremy and his lovely wife, Elisha, graciously played
a huge role in hosting the 2018 HNI National Assembly in June.
Jeremy is one of the Harvest Network Regional Team Members
for the Midwest. He also coaches cross country and serves as
the Chaplain for the local high school football team. A skilled
communicator of the Word, teens and adults alike appreciate his
genuine and authentic style of preaching.
Jeremy loves spending time with Elisha and their two wonderful
children, Cody and Josie. He also enjoys watching Reds
baseball and riding his motorcycle. Elisha works at her mother’s
dried flower shop, Woodcreek Drieds, and helps Jeremy in
youth ministry.
David Burton
River Church in a Barn
Delaware, OH
Assistant Pastor
(Ordination)
David Burton grew up in a Christian household, but it wasn’t
until he was a junior in college that he made a true and com-
plete personal commitment to serve God as his Lord and
Savior. David attended law school for one year, but then felt
the Lord calling him to go to Seminary first. After complet-
ing his Seminary degree, he was serving as a pastor and also
entered law school for the second time. Upon completion
of his law degree, David was pastoring and practicing law.
David says being a pastor first made him a much better at-
torney. Becky, his wife, manages his law firm, enjoys tennis,
and enjoys keeping up with their three athletic boys. Their old-
est, David, is moving with his new wife, Grace, to attend a Ph.D.
program in Civil Engineering at Oxford University this fall 2018.
Jonathan plays soccer at Grove City College, a Christian College
in Pennsylvania, and is studying pre-med. Joshua goes to
Worthington Christian High School and has the family love of
soccer, and also plays basketball and now tennis. David has been
trained classically in opera, sacred and contemporary music. He
loves to be involved with music in church especially.
David began occasionally preaching at River Church in a Barn
two years ago, and the congregation appreciated his speaking
style, scholarly knowledge and sense of humor! When the River
made plans to open a satellite location, David was asked to come
on as an Assistant Pastor. So after a rather lengthy sabbatical,
David has reinstated his ordination with Harvest Network.

LEGACY MINISTRIES’ ONE WISH MISSIONS TRIP
By Tammy Melton, Founder of Legacy Ministries
Legacy Min-
istries in
P e a c h t r e e
City, Geor-
gia, recently
took a team to Ireland in partner-
ship with Operation Mobilization
missionaries, Richard and Rachel
Sharp. The team helped three
churches in Roscommon, Ireland
with prayer, evangelism and en-
couragement for the pastors and
missionaries serving there. The
main focus of the trip was evange-
lism using the One Wish tool
(www.onewish4u.com).
While in training, the team learned
that the average Christian shares
the Gospel only once in 28 years.
The One Wish method is a simple
way to share Jesus in a nonthreat-
ening way. Members of the team
went out into the community and
asked the question, “If you had one
wish from God to you today, what
would that be?” It is amazing how
that question opened up dialog
with people, some of whom had
never heard the Gospel. Most of the
people were willing to let team
members go on to show them
God’s One Wish for them (having a
friendship with them) using four
symbols on a bracelet. The team
then invited them to connect with
one of the three area churches.
Since then, one of the churches has
reported back that they have had a
few people come to Christ and
come to their church as a direct
result of the One Wish outreach!
Prayer played such a strategic part
during this trip. The team would
start out the day with devotions and
prayer for the Lord to have His way
during outreach. Each day of out-
reach, three or four members of the
team stayed back to pray as the Ho-
ly Spirit led the rest of the members
who did outreach. Everyone came
back to tell stories of how the Lord
ministered, and each time they
found out that specific prayers were
answered just as the prayer team
was led to pray. The pastors of the
three churches were also encouraged
when the whole team gathered to
pray over them and impart God’s
blessing through words of knowledge
and prophetic words. Please pray for
the seeds planted in Ireland and in the
hearts of team members to take root
and grow. The team will never be
the same!

BUILDING A LEGACY An Invitation from Presiding Overseer Bob Swanger
“Intentional Multi-
Generational Ministry that is
Transform- ational to
our culture and the future.”
Building a Legacy is ac-complished in the con-text of the primary pur-poses of the New Testa-ment Church: Building up the Body and Advanc-ing the Kingdom.
Building a Legacy is NOT an end of life task, it is something that has greater effect when we begin it sooner. A key word for this building a Legacy is: In-tentionality. If we are not intentionally building a Legacy, we are just wander-ing around aimlessly, hoping that our days make a difference. The famous Yogi Berra quote applies: “If you don't know where you are going, you will end up there.” For a Legacy to go multi-generational, means we must be connected to people. I like to use the phrase: Make disciples, who make disciples, who make disciples
(D3). On one end of this spectrum, we do not want to age out of existence; on the other end of the spectrum, we do not want to be disconnected from the wisdom of years of experience. As Harvest Network gets younger, we want to embrace the en-ergy, commitment and savvy of the com-ing generations with the passion, faithful-ness and savvy of those who are further down the road. If we consider Legacy within the context of Building up the Body and Advancing the Kingdom, it would be good to assess our ministries and evaluate if we are build-ing and advancing in a strategic and multi-generational way. Or have we fallen into doing what we have always done, even if it is not producing as it once did. Let's ask the Holy Spirit to give us savvy for doing multi-generational ministry that will change the culture and the future.

WHY COME TO A REGIONAL GATHERING? RELATIONAL DEVELOPMENT These smaller events are unique-ly sized to permit relationships to grow so we are never isolated. NETWORKING These regional events allow time to build relation-ships with people near enough to you to make a dif-ference in tough times and to sup-port one another with diverse gifts. INTERACTIVE LEARNING There can be much more inter-active teaching and learning in a smaller gathering. Our goal is to have a third to a half of our teaching time be given to interaction and discussion. PERSONAL MINISTRY Leaders need min-istry that we often don’t receive, be-cause we are so committed to and busy taking care of others.
