What a tremendous joy it is to celebrate the goodness of our Lord God! When we launched our congregation’s two-year Teamwork Campaign back in September, we had faith that God would move the hearts of the people of Hope. Several important projects need to be tackled to keep our ministry facilities in excellent condition, and to enable the congregation to keep its primary focus on reaching people for Christ. Please join me in saying “Thanks be to God” for many blessings in the first three months of our Teamwork Campaign.

Thanks be to God … For almost two hundred individuals, families, and groups who are participating in the Teamwork Campaign! For generous, sacrificial, joyful giving sparked by the Holy Spirit of God! For commitments received, to date, of $457,387. For donations received, to date, of $185,508. For reduced pressure on our annual ministry budget, since campaign commitments have exceeded the original

campaign goal of $300,000. For ministry facilities projects completed prior to the campaign launch in September:

For ministry facilities projects completed prior to the campaign launch in September:

Several remaining ministry facilities projects are now funded, and work will commence as soon as possible in the months ahead. We will keep you updated on progress, and continue to celebrate the goodness of our Lord God!

Re-Gifting Update Thanks to generous donations, Hope House children were able to provide gifts for their parents or caregivers. The children enjoyed a pizza dinner, the Christmas Story, selected their gifts and wrapped them. The evening concluded with singing Christmas carols.

Puerto Rico Mission Trip Volunteers from Hope will be installing metal roofs on hurricane-damaged homes, 2/22-29. It’s not too late to sign up for this trip. For details, contact Pastor Wayne ([email protected]) or Hilary Tew ([email protected]) as soon as possible.

Live Nativity Thank You! A big thank you to all the volunteers who lead a successful Live Nativity this year! From the set builders, to the organizers, actors, and refreshment/costume coordinators. It was so much fun to enjoy the story of Christ’s birth together, as a church family.

Angel Tree Thank You! Thank you to all who participated with the Angel Tree program whether purchasing gifts, delivering packages, taking inventory of gifts, creating centerpieces, fielding questions or helping with administrative items, you are appreciated. We are so thankful for your participation. Thank you for being a blessing to others!

January Tri-Area Food Pantry Collection Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry is a nonprofit, non-denominational, 100% volunteer organization serving the towns of Wake Forest, Rolesville, Youngsville and surrounding areas in Wake County. Hope Mission Festival

Mark your calendars for January 25-26. In many

exciting ways, the people of Hope are carrying out our God-given mission outside

the walls of our church.

Hope currently has 17 community-based local missions, and several

mission trips coming up in the year ahead. Stop by the

Children’s Center/Fellowship Hall after service on January 25-26 for food, fun, information, displays,

interactives, and more!

Find out how you can support and be involved in

Hope’s mission to reach people for Christ in our

church, in our community, and in our world.

This ministry offers free clothing and housewares a few times a year, with all

items donated by the people of Hope. Please consider

donating your gently used clothing (babies-adults, men &

women) and small housewares.

Items go directly to people

who need them most in Wake Forest and surrounding

communities. Questions? Contact the church office at

919-554-8109.

Adult Education Sunday Mornings from 9:45-10:45AM

The Psalms Date: Class begins January 5 Location: Adult Education Floor, room 301 Leader: Dr. Peter Muller The Psalms remain the most devotional portion of Scripture because they have a way of connecting with the daily concerns of our lives and guiding us in prayer. They also teach us so much about the blessings and challenges of walking in the Lord’s ways.

Wednesday Night Alive from 6:30-7:30PM

The Book of Revelation Dates: January 8 - February 20 Location: Adult Education Floor, room 300 Leaders: Pastor Lew & Vicar Zach Some Christians hesitate to read Revelation because they have been led to believe that it’s a book of great mystery to be interpreted only by biblical experts. This is not true. Revelation, like the rest of Scripture, is God’s message of judgement against sin and His encouraging Word of mercy and grace for the sinner. It might sound a little different, but through Revelation, our gracious heavenly Father gives us encouragement and strength!
