When they arrived, they found that the man had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest and a stayaway order from the woman. The man, who lives on the 1500 block of Noe, was also in possession of a stolen credit card taken recently in an auto burglary. The woman, who lives on the 3400 block of Jackson, was wanted on a no bail narcotics warrant. They were both arrested. Case #070866519 08/25/07 9:20 am Mission and Lowell Officers Kenyon Bowers and William McCarthy stopped a suspicious person. The suspect, who has no permanent local address, gave conflicting information about his identity. He was finally found to have a no bail warrant from Contra Costa County for narcotics revocation. Case #070866923 08/25/07 4:20 pm Ocean and Howth City College Police stopped a vehicle for impeding the flow of traffic. The driver, who lives on the 2000 block of Revere, was unlicensed and uninsured. He was cited and his 1997 Acura was towed. Officers Andrea Creed and Renae Hofmann went to an address on the 1700 block of Alemany and located a subject who had fled the officers previously when they tried to issue him a citation. The subject was cited for two offenses. Case #070808022 08/25/07 5:19 pm Mission and Bosworth Officer Maria Alvarado went to an accident scene. One of the participants, who lives on the 200 block of Ney, was unlicensed and uninsured. He was cited and his 1990 Mazda was towed. Case #070868060 08/25/07 6:18 pm Mission and Silver Officer Ariana Daggett stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. The driver, who lives on the 200 block of London, was cited and his 2002 Toyota was towed. Case #070868167 08/25/07 6:40 pm Sunnydale and Schwerin Officer Samuel Fung stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The driver, who lives on the 1900 block of Sunnydale, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 1996 Cadillac was towed. Case #070868270 08/25/07 10:30 pm 100 block of Blythdale Officers Clodagh Coles and Mike Howard were checking an abandoned building on the 100 block of Sanos. When they finished they looked over on the 100 block of Blythdale where a number of loiterers were yelling obscenities at them. A warrant check for one, who lives in Stockton, showed a misdemeanor warrant from the BART Police Department. He was arrested. ARRESTS: 08/26/07 7:16 am 1100 block of Naples Officers William McCarthy and Kenyon Bowers spotted a suspicious person in the bus shelter on the 1100 block of Naples. They found the resident of the first block of Allison was in possession of crack cocaine and paraphernalia. He was arrested on those charges and a probation violation. Gang Task Force officers, originally assigned to the Ingleside Station arrested a violent Sunnydale gang member with a gun. More details will be given in tomorrow's report. A vehicle drove by them going 3 miles per hour. The officers noticed that one of the occupants was drinking a beer. They stopped the vehicle and found that the driver, who lives on the 200 block of Argonaut, stated that he was out of gas. He was also driving with a suspended license. 1. Ingleside and SFPD Gang Task Force Officers Saturate Violent Hot Spots in the Ingleside District. We intend to continue to protect the community with visibility and strong law enforcement. 2. Gang Member with Loaded Firearm Arrested in Sunnydale---See Below. 3. So far this year there have been 165 arrests for graffiti city-wide. There are ten police stations in SanFrancisco. Ingleside officers have made 37 of those arrests. That is an extremely high percentage. Ingleside officers lead the city in writing moving traffic violations as well. Ingleside officers have achieved major success in curbing violence at the Alemany Public Housing site. We are quite proud of our officers who strive every day to protect and respect the communities we serve. ARRESTS: 08/28/07 2:05 pm 1700 block of Sunnydale A group of Gang Task Force and Ingleside officers were on foot and motorized patrol near the Sunnydale Public Housing due to gang activity and shootings in the area. Officer Frank Valiquette spotted a known suspect who is a notorious gang member and is wanted for questioning in recent shootings and at least one homicide. The suspect was also recently shot in the right hand. As soon as the suspect saw Officer Valiquette, he spontaneously stated "I didn't do nothing" and took off running near Sunnydale and Santos while clutching his waistband. The officer gave chase and the suspect fell down near 40 Santos, took a revolver from his waistband and threw it to the ground, and then continued to run away. Officer Valiquette retrieved the firearm. Sgt. Kevin Knoble of the Gang Task Force continued to chase the suspect, who ran into a housing unit on the 1700 block of Sunnydale and shut the door on the sergeant. The sergeant forced open the door, which was being held shut by the suspect and after a struggle took the suspect into custody. A woman had been beaten and strangled on August 28, 2007. This date officers Ben Santana, Raul Mendieta, Ivan Chavez and Angelina Sanchez went to the location as the suspect had returned and was ringing the doorbell. The officers arrested the resident of the 1100 block of Potrero and charged him with domestic violence, threats, destroying a telephone and malicious mischief. Case #070880638 08/29/07 7:07 am 900 block of Ellsworth Officers from the Gang Task Force and FBI served two search warrants on addresses on the 900 block of Ellsworth. Individuals were detained, narcotics were seized at one location and the investigation is continuing. Case #070881517 08/29/07 8:34 am 100 block of Blythdale Officers from the Gang Task Force spotted a suspicious person. When they made contact with the resident of Oakland, they found him in possession of 25 rocks of crack cocaine. He was arrested. Case #070881692 08/29/07 8:47 am First block of Brookdale Officers from the Gang Task Force stopped a vehicle for a registration violation. The driver, who lives on the 1600 block of Sunnydale, and is a juvenile, was operating a stolen vehicle. He was arrested for auto theft and driving unlicensed. Case #070855835 08/29/07 10:14 am 50 Phelan City College Police stopped a vehicle for impeding the flow of traffic and because the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver, who lives on the 1200 block of Webster, was driving with a suspended license, had an arrest warrant for the same thing and was in possession of marijuana. Case #070882117 08/29/07 10:44 am 100 block of Blythdale Officers Melonee Alvarez and Dan Silver (assigned temporaily to the Gang Task Force from Ingleside Station) and Officer Preston of the Gang Task Force were on patrol in the Sunnydale area when they spotted a vehicle with a driver commit numerous traffic violations and then speed away from the officers. They finally stopped the vehicle on the 100 block of Blythdale and noticed that the driver was extremely nervous, shaking and refused lawful orders of the officer. The driver finally emerged from the vehicle and Officer Alavarez saw a loaded semi-automatic handgun protruding from

his pocket. The suspect was disarmed and taken into custody. The resident of the first block of Bertha Lane, who has two prior arrests for auto theft, was arrested on weapons charges and receiving stolen property as the weapon was stolen in San Jose. Case #070882377 08/29/07 10:30 am Edna and Monterey Officer Jude Rand stopped a vehicle for driving the wrong way. The driver, who lives on the 1100 block of Florida, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 1986 Ford was towed. Case #070882145 08/29/07 11:54 am Mission and Geneva Officer Jude Rand stopped a vehicle for failing to yield to a pedestrian. The driver, who lives on the 500 block of Jones, was driving with a suspended license. He was cited and his 1995 Honda was towed. Young Lane San Francisco, Ca. 94112 Telephone 404-4000 Officers of the Ingleside Station conducted a pedestrian "sting" at Highland and Mission this morning, Friday, August 31, 2007. This sting involves a decoy plainclothes officer, William McCarthy, attempting to cross the street in a crosswalk without getting hit by passing cars. Officers Glenn Ortega, Jose Lopez, Amalia Barcena, Christopher Downing, Kenyon Bowers and Sgt. Jim Miller assisted in stopping and citing motorists. Twenty-nine (29) citations for failing to yield to a pedestrian were issued. ARRESTS: 08/30/07 9:25 am Geneva and San Jose Officer Angelina Sanchez stopped a vehicle after a traffic accident. The driver, who lives on Concord, was unlicensed and uninsured. He was cited and his 2001 Nissan was towed. Case #070886103 08/30/07 10:23 am 4600 block of Mission Officer Enrique Alejandrino stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, who lives on Vienna, was unlicensed and uninsured. He was cited and his 1999 Nissan was towed. Case #070887703 08/30/07 2:49 pm 1500 block of Sunnydale Officers Mike Peregoy, Craig Wilson, Frank Valiquette and Sgt. Tim Plyer were monitoring gang members loitering around the Sunnydale Housing development. They spotted a known gang member who always runs when contacted by the police. The suspect was trespassing on Housing property after being admonished not to. When the officers approached him he took off running. felony assault. Case #070892558 08/31/07 6:31 pm Sunnydale and Cora Gang Task Force Officers Preston, Dan Silver, Melonee Alvarez, and Sgts. Kevin Knoble and John Burke observed a suspicious vehicle with no license plates. With the assistance of Officers Mike Peregoy and Craig Wilson, the vehicle was stopped and found to be stolen. The driver, who lives in Colma, admitted that he bought the car on the street at 24th and Mission and thought it might be stolen. He was arrested for auto theft, receiving stolen property, and being unlicensed. A passenger, who lives on the 1400 block of Kirkwood, was wanted on a drug warrant.
