The purpose of the USMC Ground Ordnance Maintenance Association is to support the Marine Corps by disseminating knowledge of Ground Ordnance Maintenance among Marines, to provide professional development opportunities for Marines, to foster the spirit and preserve the traditions of the Marine Corps to offer special benefits to USMC GOMA members!

• GOMA began with a concept & idea over 10 years ago.

• Growth has been steady but much slower than expected. We are currently 104 Members with a good portion being Lifetime or Plank Holders.

• The focus has been on growth, getting the Marine Corps Order signed, working on our Tax Exempt status and strengthening the Association.

• Awarding our Top Graduates at our Basic Ordnance Schools

• Ground Ordnance Maintenance Officer, SNCO, NCO, Marine of the Year

• Raffles and fund raisers

• Taking care of our Ordnance Marines



WHAT IS NEXT?!?!?



• Marine Corps Order 1650.58 has been signed and is in force; FY15 will be first year for annual awards

• We have begun the execution phase of the awards program; first award given 15 Jan at 2146 course

• Update our by-laws pending final vote and approval by 2/3 membership

• 501.3(c)

• Get our membership more involved/GOMA Chapters
