GOAL
The Mistere Eco-Resort, located on Kangaroo
Island, South Australia, is a beautiful sanctuary
for those seeking to enjoy wildlife and natural
beauty. In order to provide guests with an
even more sustainably-minded experience,
the resort sought a better solution for drinking
water.
CHALLENGE
Given the location of Kangaroo Island, the
resort faced logistical challenges due to lack
of infrastructure, unwanted CO2 offset from
bottled water and wanted to avoid extracting
from the precious groundwater reserves
already facing drought.
Funded as part of the Australian Renewable
Energy Agency’s program, the installation
of ten SOURCE Hydropanels at the site now
provides visitors and residents of Mistere
Resort with a renewable and waste-free
solution for drinking water.
