Dear Member,
Attached is correspondence the HSU has received from Murrumbidgee Local Health District regarding a proposed realignment of the Executive Management structure.
Member feedback requested
The HSU industrial team is currently reviewing the potential impacts of the proposed restructure upon affected employees. We are now seeking feedback, views and comments from our members.

In accordance with Clause 35 Health Employees Conditions of Employment (State) Award, (“The Award”), Murrumbidgee Local Health District (“MLHD”) is aware of its responsibility to consult with staff and their representatives should we wish to introduce changes that have a potential significant effect on employees. MLHD is currently undergoing a review and proposed structural realignment in the executive functions and portfolios. Whilst MLHD does not consider the proposed realignment of structure to have any significant effect on staff, by way of courtesy we would like to advise you of intentions. We are meeting with executive leaders and their teams during the week of 6 May 2019 and will make briefing discussion documents available to all staff by the end of that week. We will invite and consider all staff feedback and aim to appoint to the new roles and functions by end June 2019. The changes aim to enhance contemporary ways of working and improve the patient’s
journey through the local health system.
As a result of the proposal, a number of current executive and supporting administrative
positions will be affected and new clinically-focused positons will be created.
There are no planned redundancies and the proposed new structure will be cost neutral.
