    EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

    I have contributed my self to compare two products which are (Head &

    Shoulders by P&G) and (Sunsilk by Uni-livers). This Research is made for making

    ourself clear that there is huge effect on the product by price increased or decreased.

    Over all if I defined this survey report in percentages than its clear that people

    left keeping head & shoulders sachet at their shops, because its Rs. 6/= 6ml, on the

    other hand customers still want to buy head & shoulders.

    Buyers analysis

    Report on Recession:

    The economy goes through different cycles. One of them is recession. It

    is observed when the prices start to increase, the living standard starts to fall,

    unemployment rises, and businesses stop expanding.

    Another indicator of recession is a decreasing gross national product (GDP) of a

    nation. In fact, many experts consider that there is an economic recession only when a

    negative GDP growth has been observed over two consecutive quarters.

    However, it is generally considered that a recession starts when there have been

    several quarters of slowing even if they have been positive.

    A recession is a decrease of less than 10% in a countrys Gross Domestic

    Product (GDP). The decrease must last for more than one consecutive quarter of a

    year. The GDP is defined as the sum of private spending and government spending on

    goods, services, labor and investment.

    The result is that head & shoulder decreased its sale but still having extra

    ordinary profit by its loyal customers and they are generating great revenue.

    Last year P&G revised their prices

    which has increased the prices of their

    shampoos considerably but Sunsilk has

    maintained its prices and their prices are

    much lower than P&Gs, which is a majorblow to P&G because being a poor

    country people go for products which are

    within the range of Rs.100.0

    Conclusion:

    The report achieved so much information that is consultant with several

    points:

    I have conducted this research with primary data collection. I have distributed

    my survey forums into five different areas of Karachi in the retailer market. Survey

    was consistent on ten different questions in which 2 open questions are being asked

    and on scale and percentage point of view, rest of all questionnaire was based on

    agree disagree type of views.

    76% People always go with product price.

    72% Customers are quality conscious.56% availability of head & shoulders decreased from market.

    80% Retailers Earnings in Shampoo line earned by Sunsilk.

    88% customers diverting towards Sun Silk shampoo.

    People answer in similar way that it doesnt impact on loyalty of H&D

    because people are very much trust worthy with this product so they keep asking for

    H&D although its not available in sachet packs.

    In this thought of increasing prices people were totally negative but fewer

    were in the favor of completing their items of shop or good will its important to

    P&G has captured a bigger share of the market due to its intense

    promotional activities.
